Can hair grow back after it falls out

Hair loss is a phenomenon that occurs in both men and women. In fact, when we comb our hair, it is considered hair loss only when more than three hairs fall out at a time. If only one or two hairs fall out, this phenomenon is relatively normal. Most patients with hair loss have a lot to do with family factors. Generally, after severe hair loss, it is difficult for hair to grow again. So, can hair grow again after it has fallen out?

Hair loss can be roughly divided into two categories, one is scarring alopecia and the other is non-scarring alopecia. Non-scarring alopecia has many causes, the most common ones are seborrheic alopecia and androgenic alopecia. Both boys and girls can get the disease. The incidence rate of this type of hair loss in men in my country is about 21%, basically one in every five men will suffer from male baldness; the incidence rate in women is about 4%~6%, which is lower than that in men.

Alopecia areata is commonly known as "alopecia areata", in which hair falls out in patches on the head. The most common hair loss in women is telogen effluvium, which usually has a triggering factor: some women experience a lot of hair loss three to five months after giving birth. Some are combined with endocrine diseases, such as hypothyroidism in some people. Taking birth control pills or losing weight rapidly in a short period of time may also cause telogen effluvium. Under normal circumstances, 5% of our hair should be in the growth phase, and the rest of the hair should be in the resting phase. In the above situation, the part of the hair in the growth phase becomes smaller, and a large amount of hair quickly enters the resting phase, after which the hair will fall out. This is actually the hair transitioning from the growth phase to the resting phase too quickly, so a large amount of hair falls out in a short period of time.

There is also traction type hair loss. If girls tie their braids too tightly or put their hair in a bun too tightly, long-term traction will cause the hair follicles to loosen and fall out.

It is caused by overwork or lack of certain trace elements in the body. It is recommended to go to a dermatology hospital for a trace element test, and then take some medicine as prescribed by the doctor. Be sure to pay attention to rest and don't stay up late to hurt your mind. In addition, you should eat more alkaline vegetables and fruits to maintain the body's moisture and replenish vitamins. It is very beneficial for stimulating hair growth.
