How to check anxiety disorder

How to check anxiety disorder

When people suffer from anxiety disorders, it will bring many adverse effects to the human body, such as anxiety, insomnia, loss of appetite or difficulty breathing, etc. When facing anxiety disorder, people need to be able to check it in advance, and then take effective measures to treat and prevent it, so as to avoid being caught off guard after the anxiety disorder occurs. The following is a detailed introduction on how to check anxiety disorder.

For early screening or self-diagnosis of anxiety disorders, an anxiety self-rating scale can be used. Its main clinical symptoms include dizziness, chest tightness, sweating, tremor and motor restlessness, as well as difficulty breathing, dry mouth, frequent urination, urgency and palpitations. The degree of tension and panic is very disproportionate to the actual situation. If the test score is high, you should go to the department of psychiatry for further examination in time.

[diagnosis]

The Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) can be used for self-diagnosis of early anxiety disorders.

[Diagnosis basis]

1. Clinical manifestations: Anxiety and worry without a clear objective object, restlessness, symptoms of autonomic dysfunction, such as palpitations, hand tremors, sweating, frequent urination, and motor restlessness.

2. Early screening or self-diagnosis can be done using some simple Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) assessments. If the score is high, you can go to the psychiatry or psychology department for further examination.

Causes

1. Caused by illness. Some physical diseases make patients live in pain, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, cancer, etc. If they are not effectively treated for a long time, the patients will develop psychological symptoms such as depression and anxiety, and then suffer from anxiety depression.

2. Living environment. The living and working environment of the patient is also one of the main risk factors. If you live or work in a depressing and stressful environment for a long time, the psychological damage is self-evident and you are likely to suffer from anxiety and depression.

3. Personality. The patient's own personality is the main cause of the disease. People who are introverted, cowardly, timid, and unsociable are also likely to suffer from this disease.

4. Social factors. Sudden major events can also trigger anxiety and depression, such as divorce, loss of loved ones, and terminal illness.

5. Genetic factors. If there is a patient with depression in the family, then family members are at a higher risk of developing the disease, among which anxiety and depression are more hereditary. However, not everyone with a family history of depression will develop depression, and not everyone with depression has a family history, which suggests that genetics is not the only determining factor for the disease.

There are currently two most mainstream, effective, convenient and widely used treatments for anxiety and depression: the first, of course, is drug treatment, some oral antidepressant and anti-anxiety drugs, which are safe and effective. The second type is psychotherapy. Some professional psychotherapists or psychiatrists can provide you with very good psychological counseling, psychological consultation, and psychotherapy. In addition, there are some other physical therapy methods, such as transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy, and electroconvulsive therapy for some severe depression and severe anxiety, but of course this is relatively rare.
