There are several methods of face lifting

As I age, my skin starts to lose elasticity, causing my face to sag. In the face of this problem, we can actually use some methods to perform facial lifting. Do you know how many methods there are for face lifting? In fact, many beauty hospitals now use different face lifting methods to help people restore the firmness of their facial skin. Let's look at the most common methods below.

What types of face lifts are there?

There are two main types of methods: non-surgical and surgical

1. Non-surgical methods include: photoelectric, thread embedding, and injection.

2. Surgery includes: traditional incision, small incision, endoscopy, etc.

What are the more popular non-surgical methods?

1. Ultrasonic scalpel

Also known as focused ultrasound, it originated in the United States, entered mainland China in 2014, and is now widely popular. It uses the energy of ultrasound to act on the deep fascia to tighten the tissue and skin. This method is minimally invasive and painless, causes no skin damage, and there is no obvious swelling after treatment, so patients can live and work normally. The treatment takes about one hour. After one treatment, the skin tissue tightening effect is more obvious and lasts for about 18 months. The treatment can be repeated every 2 years.

2. Thread lifting

Thread lift has become more popular in recent years. This thread is made of PDO material and will be absorbed in 6-12 months. There are zigzag lines, smooth lines, spiral lines and so on. The zigzag lines can lift and tighten the skin, while the smooth lines can smooth and tighten the skin. The two lines are often used in combination as needed. This method relies on thread lifting in the short term, and the thread begins to be absorbed after a few weeks. In theory, the locally formed scars have a certain tightening and lifting effect on the tissue. Currently, thread lifts last about a year. Redness, swelling, thread protrusion, rejection and infection caused by thread embedding also occur frequently. The long-term effects of thread lifting still need to be observed and studied. Many beauty salons exaggerate the effects of thread embedding, or perform thread embedding frequently, which increases facial damage and is not recommended.

Surgical method

1. Gold microcarving, also known as Bodytite, originated in Israel and has been used in Europe and the United States for many years. It uses radio frequency technology to act on fat and skin tissue, shaping the fat and tightening the skin at the same time, solving both fat sagging and skin loosening at the same time, killing two birds with one stone! This method is a minimally invasive surgery that needs to be completed in an operating room. It causes slight swelling, quick recovery after surgery, and has a significant skin tightening effect. Lasts about 5-6 years. It is the most effective minimally invasive surgery and treatment currently available. Suitable for all ages.

2. Small incision face lift

Small incision face lift is to make 3-5 small incisions on the forehead or temple hairline, and separate and lift the tissue through surgical methods. With the help of endoscopic minimally invasive technology, trauma can be reduced and surgical safety can be improved. It has now become the main method for facial rejuvenation in Europe and the United States. This method causes less surgical trauma and leaves less obvious scars, and is suitable for mild to moderate facial skin sagging.

3. Micro Latin America

A new type of material that has appeared in recent years is an absorbable poly-L-lactic acid lifting band. This material is inserted during small incision surgery and uses the mechanical lifting and fiber adhesion produced by degradation and absorption to restore the loose tissue. This method combines new materials with small incision endoscopy, with less surgical trauma and better results.

4. Traditional face lift (wrinkle removal)

It is the most traditional method in plastic surgery, which includes full face, mid-face and lower face lifting. The surgical incision is large, the trauma is greater, there is early swelling, and the scar is obvious. The advantage is that it is suitable for moderate to severe skin sagging and the effect is long-lasting.
