What are the symptoms of internal bleeding?

Internal bleeding is bleeding caused by internal organ damage. In mild cases, there will not be any particularly big reaction, but in severe cases, there will be vomiting blood, bloody stools, etc. Severe bleeding can also lead to shock. There are many reasons for internal bleeding, most of which are caused by collision with our internal organs. Today I will share with you the symptoms of internal bleeding.

Clinical manifestations include vomiting blood, coughing up blood in sputum, shock, etc. When the amount of internal bleeding is large, anemia and shock symptoms can be seen from the outside. Pulmonary hemorrhage may cause coughing up bloody sputum. Upper gastrointestinal bleeding, vomiting blood, and black stools. Traumatic liver bleeding can be seen unless there is an open wound. If there is no wound, uncoagulated blood can only be drawn out through abdominal puncture.

Renal bleeding is mostly caused by trauma, which can relieve hematuria, but sometimes it may not necessarily cause hematuria. I have seen cases where people with severe kidney damage have too much internal bleeding and even lose urine. This is shock. Most of them are accidents and difficult to prevent.

Causes

Most are caused by trauma. The clinical manifestations vary depending on the location, speed, and degree of bleeding. If it is gastrointestinal bleeding, there may be vomiting of blood, black stools or blood in the stool. If the bleeding occurs in solid organs (liver, spleen, etc.), shock will occur. If a hollow organ ruptures, there may be signs of peritoneal irritation. Minor bleeding that does not lead to shock can be treated conservatively. The key lies in the cause.

prevention

Most of them are accidents and difficult to prevent. In the process of treating bleeding, in order to stop bleeding without leaving blood stasis, you should pay attention to combining hemostatic drugs with blood-activating products. As Ming Dynasty scholar Miao Zhongchun wrote in his Medical Notes, “It is better to circulate blood than to stop bleeding. If blood does not flow through the meridians, it is because of Qi stagnation. If blood is circulated through the meridians, it will stop by itself. If blood is stopped, it will coagulate. Coagulation will cause fever, loss of appetite, and chronic disease.

Clinical manifestations include vomiting blood, coughing up blood in sputum, shock, etc. The pathological changes of blood syndrome can be summarized into two categories: burning of fire, forcing blood to flow abnormally, and qi deficiency, which causes blood to overflow outside the vessels. Among heat, there is real fire and false fire; among qi deficiency, there is only qi deficiency and qi damages the yang, resulting in deficiency of yang as well. Although deficiency syndrome and excess syndrome have different etiologies and pathologies, in the course of disease development, excess syndrome often transforms into deficiency syndrome, and deficiency syndrome can also be accompanied by excess syndrome. If fire is strong and qi is reversed, blood will be forced to flow recklessly. After repeated bleeding, it will lead to yin-blood deficiency and endogenous false fire. Or excessive bleeding will cause blood loss and qi damage, resulting in qi deficiency and yang decline, and inability to retain blood. Therefore, in certain circumstances, Yin deficiency, excessive fire, and Qi deficiency are both pathological factors that lead to bleeding and are the consequences of bleeding.
