How to clean oil stains on clothes

Before we figure out how to clean oil stains from clothes, we should still think about what the oil stains are on the clothes in advance. Because each type of oil stain has a different cleaning method, only after distinguishing them can the corresponding method appear, and then the oil stains can be easily washed off. There are various kinds of oil stains in our lives. If you look at which type of oil stains your clothes have, you can achieve your goal.

1. The traditional way to remove oil stains is to use gasoline, but the strong smell will remain on clothes for a long time, which is very annoying. Here we will tell you other ways to remove oil stains. The first is to use chalk to remove machine oil stains. When clothes are accidentally stained with engine oil, if conditions permit, immediately apply chalk powder to the oil stain. After a while, brush it off with a brush. Then soak and rub the clothes in a ratio of 1 to 10 according to the size of the oil stain. After repeating this process, the engine oil stain can be completely removed.

2. Animal and plant oil stains are common oil stains on clothes. After repeated washing, there will always be a nasty mark left on the clothes. This is because animals and plants are extremely difficult to dissolve liquid stains. To clean this type of stain, you need to choose organic solvents such as tetrachloroethylene, and they can only be removed after repeated wiping and soaking. During the process, you can first wipe the stain solution with a towel. This will remove the oil stains from the surface of the clothes and prevent the residual stains after evaporation from remaining on the surface of the clothes, that is, the traces left on the clothes after repeated washing.

Another simple way is to squeeze toothpaste on the stain, wipe it gently, and then rinse it with clean water to restore it to cleanliness immediately.

When it comes to cleaning oil stains from clothes, the first thing that comes to mind is probably to use gasoline to wash them off. However, everyone may have overlooked a problem, that is, the smell of gasoline is too strong and cannot be dissipated in a short time, which is very annoying. So, you can try methods such as toothpaste and chalk. Not only will there be no pungent smell, but it can also wash oil stains.
