How to clean after applying the plaster

How to clean after applying the plaster

We all know that when we have back pain or sprains, we will apply plasters to relieve them. However, plasters are generally sticky and can easily get stuck to the body after use. They are also difficult to clean, which is particularly annoying. Sometimes they will stick to clothes and cannot be torn off. This makes many people distressed and they have been trying to find a solution. So what should they do?

Precautions for applying plaster:

1. If you accidentally cause muscle contusion or joint or ligament strain during exercise or work, do not immediately apply pain-relieving ointment or musk-chasing ointment to the injured area. Because this type of plaster has the effect of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, applying it immediately after an injury cannot achieve the purpose of reducing swelling and relieving pain.

2. If there is local damage, do not apply the plaster directly to the damaged area to avoid suppurative infection.

3. Pregnant women should not use plasters containing blood-activating and blood-stasis-removing ingredients such as musk, frankincense, safflower, myrrh, peach kernel, etc.

4. If papules or blisters appear on the local skin after applying the plaster, and you feel severe itching, it means you are allergic to the plaster. You should stop applying it immediately and receive anti-allergic treatment.

5. Do not apply the plaster if you are allergic. If you feel itching, burning or stinging on the applied skin about 10 minutes after applying the plaster, remove it immediately. This indicates that the patient is allergic to the plaster. People with allergies are usually not suitable for applying plasters because their skin is prone to rashes. Applying plasters will not only hinder the absorption of the medicine, but will also cause skin problems.

6. No more than 24 hours. Since the plaster is used on the skin surface, the plaster usually contains drugs with strong odors. It is applied to the body surface to stimulate nerve endings, dilate blood vessels through reflexes, promote local blood circulation, improve nutrition of surrounding tissues, and achieve the purpose of reducing swelling, inflammation and analgesia. Generally, a dose of plaster should not be used for more than 24 hours. If it is used for too long, not only will the medicine lose its effectiveness, but it will also be bad for the skin.
