How to treat recurrence of ovarian cancer

How to treat recurrence of ovarian cancer

Ovarian cancer is one of the common malignant tumors of the female reproductive system. The mortality rate of ovarian cancer is very high, which poses a serious threat to women's lives. Although the cause of ovarian cancer is not very clear, it is certain that it may be related to women's age, fertility, mental factors, environment and diet. So how to treat recurrent ovarian cancer?

1. Surgical treatment

If ovarian cancer recurs, the primary treatment is surgery. Before surgical treatment, let the patient prepare some preoperative precautions. The old surgical methods can be divided into radical surgery and conservative surgery. Radical surgery is suitable for patients with extensive implant metastasis. We should try our best to kill tumor cells. Of course, surgical treatment should be combined with radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Only in this way can the comprehensive treatment method prevent further metastasis of malignant tumors and ovarian cancer from recurring. Because I think the tumor is very sensitive to combined radiotherapy and chemotherapy, it is still very important to remove the tumor as cleanly as possible during surgery. The scope of surgery should include the clearance of the bilateral adnexa and the adjacent lymph nodes. The operation must be very thorough, which is the most critical step in treating recurrence.

2. Chemotherapy.

Ovarian cancer is very easy to spread and metastasize, so most surgical plans cannot completely eliminate it, so we should sometimes combine chemotherapy for a very good effect. Chemotherapy is a systemic treatment method. For some advanced patients, the main effect of chemotherapy is to shrink the tumor, laying a foundation for another surgery. When we choose chemotherapy drugs, we should choose some chemotherapy drugs that are very effective and sensitive to tumors. This can effectively prolong the patient's survival time. Different chemotherapy plans can be specified according to tissue types. The course of treatment should be 3 to 4 weeks apart, depending on the actual situation of each patient. For example, the patient's physical condition, blood tests, and liver and kidney function are very relevant to whether the radiotherapy drugs can be completely metabolized.

3. Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment of ovarian cancer.

Some Chinese herbal medicines can be used to treat the recurrence of ovarian cancer, such as Solanum nigrum, Angelica sinensis, Sanling, Smilax glabra, Psoralea corylifolia, and Eupolyphaga sinensis. These Chinese herbal medicines are boiled together to obtain the medicinal juice. These medicines have the effects of regulating qi and promoting blood circulation, dispersing nodules and reducing swelling. They are very suitable for patients with recurrent ovarian cancer and can be used for long-term treatment.

4. Massage therapy.

You can let the patient lie on his back, rub her lower abdomen with one hand, speak softly, and rub repeatedly. You can put two thumbs on the Xuehaixixue, press and rub for a few minutes, or press Sanyinjiao and Yinlingquan acupoints for one minute each. This can relax the meridians, activate blood circulation, regulate qi, and maintain health. It is very effective for the treatment of patients. We might as well try the method of traditional Chinese medicine.

The above are some of the treatment methods I introduced to you about patients with recurrent ovarian cancer. Through the above explanation, everyone has a certain understanding of the treatment methods, so we can choose a method to treat according to our own situation. Ovarian cancer is not terrible as long as we maintain a positive and healthy attitude towards life. Everything is easy to overcome, so we must not bow to fate. We should also pay attention to our physical exercise, eat more vegetables and fruits, and supplement our body's vitamins and minerals, so that our body can be healthier.
