What are the dangers of kidney cancer

Kidney cancer is medically known as renal cell carcinoma. It is a common malignant tumor in urology. It is caused by malignant changes in the epithelial tissue of the proximal tubules of the renal parenchyma. It is more common in people aged 50-70 years old. The incidence rate is high, accounting for 2% to 3% of malignant tumors. When the disease occurs, symptoms such as high blood pressure, high blood sugar, weight loss, abnormal coagulation mechanism, and liver dysfunction will appear. After metastasis, symptoms such as fractures and coughs will occur, threatening the patient's life and health. So what are the dangers of kidney cancer?

1. Hematuria: Normal people will not have hematuria, but it is the main symptom of kidney cancer patients. About 40% of kidney cancer patients have hematuria, which can be macroscopic hematuria or microscopic hematuria. When there is a large amount of hematuria with blood clots, renal colic, urination pain, dysuria, and even urinary retention may occur.
2. Lump: Kidney cancer is a malignant tumor, and because it is close to the waist, the lump can be clearly felt. The kidney is located deep behind the peritoneum and cannot be felt during abdominal palpation. The lump can only be felt when the tumor is large or located at the lower pole of the kidney. About 10% to 40% of patients can feel an abdominal lump, which can sometimes be the only symptom.
3. In addition to hematuria and lumps, kidney cancer also causes pain. Severe pain is the biggest hidden danger for kidney cancer patients. Low back pain occurs when the tension of the renal capsule increases or invades surrounding tissues after the tumor grows. It manifests as persistent dull pain. Tumor bleeding causes subcapsular hematoma and can also cause dull pain or dull pain. Tumor invasion of adjacent tissues and organs such as the psoas major muscle or nerves can cause persistent and severe low back pain. The incidence of pain is 20% to 40%. If you have related symptoms, you should seek medical attention in time to avoid delaying the disease.
