What are the symptoms of early kidney cancer

There are some obvious symptoms in the early stage of kidney cancer, which is an important basis for us to carry out corresponding treatment. Some people do not know which aspects to carry out corresponding treatment, so they often cannot achieve good treatment results. Here are the main early symptoms of kidney cancer.

1. Low back pain

About 50% of patients will experience back pain. This is the result of the enlarged cancer lesion pulling on the renal capsule or compressing the surrounding nerves and muscle tissues. Most of the pain is dull pain in the waist or upper abdomen, and sometimes blood clots are discharged downward, causing severe colic, which can be easily mistaken for kidney and ureteral stones.

2. Lumbar mass

When the kidney cancer lesion grows to a considerable size, a mass can be felt (or seen) from the waist or upper abdomen. About 20 to 30 percent of patients will have this symptom. The mass is easier to feel when lying on the side, and sometimes you can see the mass moving up and down with breathing. If the mass adheres to the surrounding tissues, it is fixed and cannot be moved, which means it is in the late stage.

3. Hematuria

Hematuria is usually sudden and visible, without pain or other symptoms. About 70% of kidney cancer patients will have hematuria. This type of hematuria is often intermittent and can stop on its own, but it can recur many times. If you pay attention to hematuria the first time and seek medical attention early, you can get an early diagnosis.

In addition, 10% to 40% of patients develop paraneoplastic syndrome, which is manifested by hypertension, anemia, weight loss, cachexia, fever, polycythemia, abnormal liver function, hypercalcemia, hyperglycemia, increased erythrocyte sedimentation rate, neuromuscular disease, amyloidosis, galactorrhea, abnormal coagulation mechanism, etc. 20% to 30% of patients may seek medical treatment due to symptoms such as bone pain, fractures, cough, and hemoptysis caused by tumor metastasis.

The above are the early symptoms that most kidney cancer patients will experience. For diseases like kidney cancer, we must treat them as soon as possible, otherwise it is likely to develop into late stage kidney cancer, in which case the treatment will not have any good effect. I hope everyone can recover from the disease as soon as possible.
