How does bone cancer spread?

When it comes to bone cancer, everyone is very afraid. Many cancer patients and their families lack a correct understanding of cancer and are afraid of being infected with cancer. They may ask, how is bone cancer transmitted? In fact, cancer is not contagious, but the occurrence and development of cancer may be related to infectious diseases. We can say that some cancers are caused by infectious diseases, but we cannot say that cancer is contagious.

Infection refers to the spread of a disease from one person to another through some means. Infection requires three conditions: the source of infection, the route of transmission and the susceptible population.

Clinical experts say that cancer patients themselves are not the source of infection. Although cancer occurs in families in a clustered manner, it is not caused by infection. It is mainly related to the patient's family genetics and common carcinogenic factors, such as smoking and passive smoking, excessive drinking, eating high-fat soft food, pickled food, moldy food, fried food, etc., home decoration, kitchen fumes, ultraviolet radiation and other viral infections, and family members are susceptible and prone to this cancer, which will lead to family cancer.

The so-called genetic susceptibility to cancer refers to the tendency of some individuals to develop cancer more easily among people living under the same living conditions. On the basis of certain genetic characteristics, whether cancer will develop also depends on the combined effects of many acquired factors such as mental factors, environmental factors, dietary factors, living habits, and external carcinogens. Therefore, people with a family history of cancer do not necessarily get cancer, and susceptible people and family members with a high cancer risk are not susceptible to any cancer. For family members with cancer, there is no need to panic and bear a heavy mental burden.
