What are the tissue factors of pancreatic cancer cell lines?

Pancreatic cancer is different from other cancers. It often causes weight loss and fatigue in the early stages. This symptom has nothing to do with the location of the cancer. Among digestive tract tumors, pancreatic cancer causes the most prominent weight loss. Obvious weight loss occurs within a short period of time after the onset of the disease. The weight loss can reach more than 30 kilograms, accompanied by symptoms such as weakness and fatigue. Some patients first show progressive weight loss before other symptoms appear. So what are the classifications of tissue factors for pancreatic cancer cell lines?

1. Ductal adenocarcinoma: Ductal adenocarcinoma is the main type of pancreatic cancer, accounting for 80% to 90%. It is mainly composed of glands with duct-like structures of varying degrees of differentiation, accompanied by abundant fibrous stroma. There is a small amount of mucus distributed in the glandular cavity-like parts, and the tumor stroma contains a large amount of type IV collagen. It can be divided into well-differentiated and poorly and moderately differentiated ductal adenocarcinomas. Well-differentiated ductal adenocarcinoma is mainly composed of well-differentiated duct-like structures, lined with high columnar epithelial cells, some of which are mucinous epithelial cells, and some have abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm; moderately differentiated ductal adenocarcinoma is composed of duct-like structures of varying degrees of differentiation, some of which are similar to well-differentiated adenocarcinomas, and some may show actual cancer nests.
2. Pancreatoblastoma: This is a rare pancreatic tumor. Horie et al. first proposed the concept of pancreatoblastoma in 1977. Its structure is similar to the pancreas of the 8th week of embryonic development and has the properties of hamartoma. The tumor tissue contains epithelial and mesenchymal components, cord-like glandular structures, and longitudinal and staggered squamous bodies of spindle cells. This tumor is not sensitive to radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and the surgical treatment effect is slightly better.
