Pay attention to the early symptoms of pancreatic cancer

Pay attention to the early symptoms of pancreatic cancer

Aunt Li had been experiencing nausea, vomiting, bloating, indigestion and other symptoms similar to stomach problems. At first, she didn't take it seriously and treated it as a stomach problem. After taking medicine for a while, not only did her condition not improve, but it became worse. So she went to the hospital for examination and treatment accompanied by her family. After a series of examinations, she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

In fact, cases like Aunt Li's are not uncommon. Many pancreatic cancer patients fail to pay attention when they have early symptoms. They only go to the hospital for a comprehensive examination after the symptoms worsen, and at this time they often miss the best time for treatment.

Middle-aged people, especially men, who experience nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, and who are ineffective in treating stomach problems, may have pancreatic cancer. Patients over 40 years old who have the following clinical manifestations recently should be highly alert and consider the possibility of early pancreatic cancer:

1. Intermittent upper abdominal pain or persistent upper abdominal and back pain of unknown cause

2. Unexplained anorexia and weight loss

3. Unexplained progressive obstructive jaundice

4. Steatorrhea, commonly known as oily diarrhea, is when the fat excreted in the feces exceeds 7% of the intake.

5. Recurrent pancreatitis.

6. Depressive psychosis occurs without obvious causes

7. Patients with suspected symptoms of pancreatic cancer and recent onset of diabetes.

8. Unexplained thrombophlebitis of the lower limbs.

If pancreatic cancer can be detected early and radical resection can be performed, patients will have a chance of obtaining a longer long-term survival rate. Therefore, patients with corresponding symptoms should pay attention and go to the hospital as soon as possible to rule out the possibility of pancreatic cancer.
