Do you know the specific symptoms of bladder cancer?

Bladder cancer refers to a variety of malignant tumors originating from the bladder, which means that abnormal cells proliferate uncontrollably. Many people lack knowledge about bladder cancer, which leads to the aggravation of bladder cancer and brings pain to themselves and their families. So what are the symptoms of bladder cancer? Let's take a look.

(1) Hematuria : Hematuria is a typical symptom of bladder cancer. Once it occurs, it usually means that the bladder has become cancerous. Clinically, most bladder cancer patients will have changes in urine color, which usually starts out as dark yellow. As the disease progresses, the urine occasionally has blood streaks, and then develops into hematuria. Therefore, the urine is often dark yellow, accompanied by urinary urgency, difficulty urinating, and a feeling of obstruction.

(2) Systemic symptoms : nausea, loss of appetite, fever, weight loss, anemia, cachexia, etc.

(3) Bladder irritation symptoms : The infiltration, necrosis, ulceration and infection of the tumor itself can irritate the bladder, causing frequent urination and urgency.

(4) Metastatic symptoms : In the late stage of bladder cancer, it may infiltrate the surrounding tissues or metastasize to other internal organs. When the tumor invades the tissues around the bladder or metastasizes to the pelvic lymph nodes, pain may be seen in the suprapubic area of the pubic region, lumbar pain, or pain radiating to the vulva or thighs. When the tumor is located at the ureteral opening on one side, it may cause ureteral obstruction on one side and hydronephrosis.

(5) Difficulty in urination : Due to the large size of the tumor, or the tumor occurring at the bladder neck, or the pedunculated tumor, or the formation of blood clots that block the internal opening of the bladder, urination difficulties may occur, and even urine retention may occur. Pubic mass: This is the initial symptom in about 3% of patients, and most of them are adenocarcinoma of the bladder top or high-grade solid bladder cancer in other parts. Rectal examination may touch an uneven hard mass.
