(3) If the person being examined is of the opposite sex, a companion is required to be present.

Indications

1. Check for intestinal diseases such as the anal canal and rectum.

2. Space-occupying lesions of the prostate and seminal vesicles, prostatic hyperplasia and other diseases.

3. Perform bimanual examination for masses in the lower abdomen or pelvis.

4. Take stool specimens and biopsy tissue examination specimens.
