How long does it take to treat Hepatitis B virus (HBV) jaundice?

When talking about jaundice, many people will think of jaundice in newborns. In fact, for many adults, when they suffer from hepatitis B virus (HBV), jaundice is one of the main symptoms of the disease. When jaundice occurs, it means that the disease is quite serious. At this time, the patient must undergo effective antiviral treatment, otherwise it will cause serious harm to the patient's health.

Symptoms of Hepatitis B virus (HBV)

Skin and mucosal lesions:

Various skin lesions may occur, among which polymorphic rash and urticaria are the most common; followed by erythema, maculopapular rash, angioedema and petechiae.

Joint muscle disease:

Joint pain is a common symptom of the extrahepatic manifestation of hepatitis B virus (HBV). The affected joints are generally red and swollen, most commonly in the fingers, wrists, elbows, and knees. There is no severe pain, which is quite similar to migratory rheumatoid arthritis.

Systemic symptoms:

The liver affects the entire body. Due to damaged liver function, hepatitis B patients often feel weak, lack of energy, edema in the lower limbs or the whole body, easy fatigue, lack of energy, insomnia, nightmares and other hepatitis B symptoms. A small number of people may also experience hepatitis B symptoms similar to a cold.

Palm performance:

Many hepatitis B patients will experience hepatitis B symptoms such as liver palms. The palm surface of hepatitis B patients will be red and congested, and there will be obvious tenderness on the palm surface of the second joint of the ring fingers of both hands, and other symptoms of hepatitis B.

The best time to treat hepatitis B virus

Elevated transaminase is the best time for antiviral treatment of hepatitis B. Elevated transaminase indicates inflammatory damage to liver cells, but it also shows that the body's immune system has shifted from passive defense to active proactive, which is a good time for antiviral treatment. A large number of endogenous cytokines are produced through immune regulation, which, in combination with antiviral drugs, can achieve twice the result with half the effort. This multi-pathway, multi-site, clearance and inhibition approach achieves high clinical efficacy and low recurrence.

Treatment of Hepatitis B virus (HBV)

1. Medically, the normal value of HBV-DNA is set at 1000 copies/ml. If this value is exceeded, it is considered that the hepatitis B virus is replicating significantly and is highly contagious. Even if the liver function is normal, active treatment is recommended.

2. Those with normal liver function, no clinical symptoms, and no obvious liver damage found in various examinations. Such patients should be dynamically observed, with HBV serology, liver function biochemical indicators and B-ultrasound testing every 3-6 months. They should avoid drinking alcohol and excessive fatigue in their daily lives.

3. Abnormal liver function, positive HBVDNA, and clinical symptoms indicate the active stage of chronic hepatitis. Such patients need to go to the hospital for liver protection or antiviral treatment.

4. Liver function is normal, there are no obvious symptoms, and other test results (B-ultrasound, etc.) indicate liver damage. Such patients need to undergo a liver puncture biopsy. If the liver tissue lesions are very mild, the treatment is the same as ①; if the lesions are severe, the patient must go to the hospital for liver protection or antiviral treatment.
