I believe most people prefer to eat barbecue, and barbecue is mainly a way of grilling ingredients using bamboo sticks. In the summer, it is a very comfortable thing to invite a few friends to eat at a food stall, have barbecue and drink a few beers. However, the methods of grilling in each region are different because they use different tools. So what are the methods of grilling in the oven?

Barbecue can be divided into direct barbecue and indirect barbecue. Many cities in China have their own unique barbecue methods, including grill pans, iron nets, and long grills, most of which are charcoal fires. The carbon used in different regions is also different.

The ingredients for barbecue in coastal areas are mainly seafood. For example, in Shanghai, Wuhan and Hainan, the most popular barbecue dishes among locals are oysters, shellfish and fish. In the north, beef and mutton are the main meats. For example, in Heilongjiang and Jilin, the most popular barbecue dish is lamb skewers.

However, with the upgrading of people's health awareness nowadays, healthy eating concepts and green concepts have begun to be widely advocated.

It would be a waste if you only use your oven for baking. Baking food is actually much easier than frying. Hurry up and prepare all kinds of meat and vegetables, and get ready to invite your friends to your home to feast together!

New Orleans Roast Chicken and Potatoes

Ingredients:

3 chicken thighs, 1 medium potato, 1 packet of New Orleans Wing Marinade, coarse black pepper, salt, cumin, olive oil (or any other oil), warm water, Italian herbs (optional), 2-3 cloves of garlic (optional), white sesame seeds (optional)

practice:

1. Wash the chicken legs, remove the bones, cut into medium-sized pieces, and put them into a bowl together with the peeled garlic. Chop the potatoes into pieces about the same size as the chicken legs and place in another bowl.

2. Depending on the amount of chicken, mix the New Orleans grilled wing marinade and warm water in a ratio of 1:2 to make a sauce, pour it into the chicken thighs and mix well. The sauce should not be too little, and each piece of chicken should be covered with a thick sauce. If you want it to be more flavorful, you can mix it evenly with your hands. At the same time, keep some of the juice and mix it into the potatoes and mix well. The amount does not need to be too large.

3. Add coarse black pepper and Italian herbs (optional, these are for flavor enhancement) to both bowls, and add the amounts according to your preference. Toss the chicken thighs with a little olive oil.

4. Add cumin and a little salt to the potatoes. Be careful not to add too much salt, as the marinade itself is already flavorful enough. Then let the chicken thighs and potatoes marinate for 10-15 minutes. At this time, the oven can be preheated to 250°C.

5. Use a larger plate (I used a pizza baking pan) to spread the potatoes evenly on the bottom layer and brush a thin layer of olive oil on the potatoes.

6. Arrange the chicken thighs and garlic evenly on the potatoes. You can add some sesame seeds to enhance the flavor according to your preference. Put them into the middle layer of the oven preheated to 250℃ and bake at 220℃ for 20-25 minutes.

7. After baking for 15 minutes, carefully remove the baking tray, brush a layer of olive oil on the chicken thighs and put them back into the oven. This way, the chicken thighs will not be too dry or tough.

8. Take it out after about 25 minutes and start eating! The kitchen is already filled with fragrance!
