What to do if you are stung by a tiger cub

The tiger cricket, also known as the cricket, is a widely distributed insect. In life, we usually don't notice this insect. It is very similar to the color of the tree and it is difficult to find without careful observation. The tiger cricket is poisonous. If you are stung, you need to deal with it. Since it is difficult for us to notice it, we are often stung inadvertently. So what should we do if we are stung by a tiger cricket?

Green moth, brown-edged green moth, belongs to the family of moths in the order Lepidoptera. It is also known as the green moth, blue moth, yellow-margined green moth, four-spotted moth, curved green moth, etc., and is commonly known as the itchy pepper. It is widely distributed, almost throughout the country.

The adult is 15 to 16 mm long, with a wingspan of 36 to 40 mm, and has a green body; the compound eyes are dark brown; the eggs are flat and oval, light yellowish green, and the mature larvae are slightly rectangular, yellow at first, then slightly larger and yellow-green to green; the pupa is oval, milky white to light yellow at first, then gradually turns to yellowish brown; the cocoon is oval and hard, and its color is mostly the same as the host bark, generally ranging from gray-brown to dark brown.

Because local injuries to the body can easily cause skin inflammation, some methods should be taken to adjust it.

1. Immediately tie the wound tightly with a handkerchief, cloth belt or rope 3-5 cm above the wound (near the heart end).

2. Use methods such as squeezing and sucking to squeeze out the blood containing toxins from the wound as much as possible.

3. If necessary, ask a doctor to cut open the wound and absorb the venom.

4. Apply some strong soapy water or alkaline water locally. Wash the wound with 3% ammonia water, 5% soda water or 0.5% potassium permanganate.

Or grind alum and mix it with vinegar to make a paste and apply it to the wound.

If pain and swelling occur, you can apply glucocorticoid ointment to treat it. If you experience symptoms of general discomfort, it is recommended to go to the hospital for examination and treatment.
