Which department should I go to for cystitis symptoms

Cystitis is mostly acute. Unless the patient suffers from cystitis all year round, it will gradually turn into a chronic disease. If there is no disease, it will become chronic from the beginning. When choosing to check for cystitis, it is mainly necessary to see an internal medicine doctor, because cystitis brings many symptoms and causes harm to our body.

diagnosis

Acute cystitis

The symptoms are mostly typical and diagnosis is generally not difficult. Based on the medical history of frequent urination, urgency and pain when urinating, routine urine examination may reveal red blood cells and pus cells, and a urine bacterial culture with a bacterial count of more than 100,000 per milliliter of urine can confirm the diagnosis.

Chronic cystitis

In addition to general systemic examination, the most important thing for diagnosis is to find out the type of pathogen and the results of drug sensitivity test, and to find the cause of persistent or recurrent infection. Chronic nonspecific cystitis must be differentiated from other types of cystitis, such as tuberculous cystitis, interstitial cystitis, chemical cystitis, etc.

Differential diagnosis of acute pyelonephritis

In addition to bladder irritation symptoms, there are chills, high fever and percussion pain in the kidney area.

Bladder tuberculosis

The patient presents with symptoms of chronic cystitis and does not respond well to conventional antibiotic treatment. Acid-fast bacilli can be found in the urine, and urography shows tuberculous lesions in the kidneys and ureters. In the late stage, contracture of bladder occurs.

Interstitial cystitis

The urine is clear, with very few pus cells and no bacteria, and there is severe pain when the bladder is filled.

TCM disease treatment

General treatment

This includes getting enough rest, drinking plenty of water to increase urine output, paying attention to nutrition, avoiding irritating foods, and giving antispasmodics to patients with obvious bladder irritation symptoms to relieve symptoms.

observe

In some special cases, patients with asymptomatic bacteriuria do not need routine antimicrobial treatment and need to be closely monitored.

Chinese medicine treatment

Diuretic and anti-inflammatory pills are the main treatment for urinary tract infection. They can promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis, soften and disperse nodules, promote qi and relieve pain, and can effectively treat the symptoms of cystitis.
