What is the disease of vomiting blood and having blood in stool

In film and television performances, vomiting blood is often seen for the sake of exaggeration. Influenced by this, we often think that vomiting blood represents a terminal illness. In fact, we should not be so pessimistic under the influence of movies and TV shows. We should establish a correct world view, understand the corresponding symptoms of diarrhea and vomiting blood, and seek medical attention in time when necessary to solve our physical problems through medicine. So, what exactly is hematemesis?

What are the symptoms of vomiting blood and pulling blood?

First: Second, diseases of other systems outside the intestine, such as blood diseases, acute infectious diseases, vitamin deficiency, poisoning or drug toxicity, etc. The bleeding site can be identified by the color of the blood in the stool. If the color is tarry or black, the blood mostly comes from the upper digestive tract, but if the patient has eaten pig blood, Chinese medicine, etc., the stool may be black; if it is purple-red, mixed with mucus and has a foul odor, the possibility of rectal malignancy should be considered; if the blood is bright red, it mostly comes from the lower digestive tract.

Second: Blood in the stool is generally seen in lower gastrointestinal bleeding, especially bleeding in the colon and rectum, but upper gastrointestinal bleeding can occasionally be seen. The color of blood in the stool depends on the site of gastrointestinal bleeding, the amount of bleeding and the time the blood stays in the intestine. Blood in the stool is accompanied by bleeding in the skin and other organs.

Third: It is more common in blood system diseases and other systemic diseases. Such as leukemia, disseminated intravascular coagulation, etc. One of the causes of bloody stools is intestinal diseases, such as intestinal ulcers and inflammation, parasitic infection, tumors, hemorrhoids, intussusception, anal fissures, dry stool abrasions, etc.

Clinical manifestations

The clinical manifestations vary depending on the site, amount and rate of bleeding. 1. Generally, small amount (less than 400 ml) and chronic bleeding are often without obvious subjective symptoms. In case of acute and massive bleeding, symptoms such as dizziness, palpitations, cold sweats, fatigue, dry mouth, and even fainting, cold limbs, oliguria, irritability, and shock may occur.

2. Changes in vital signs pulse and blood pressure are important indicators of the extent of blood loss. In acute gastrointestinal bleeding, blood volume decreases sharply, and the initial compensatory function of the body is to increase the heart rate. If the bleeding cannot be stopped or blood volume cannot be replenished in time, a shock state will occur and the pulse will be weak or even unclear. In the early stages of shock, blood pressure may increase compensatorily. As the amount of bleeding increases, blood pressure gradually decreases, and the patient enters a state of hemorrhagic shock. 3 Other accompanying symptoms and signs may be accompanied by other corresponding clinical manifestations depending on the primary disease, such as abdominal pain, fever, intestinal obstruction, hematemesis, bloody stools, tarry stools, abdominal masses, spider nevi, varicose veins of the abdominal wall, jaundice, etc.
