Home-cooked dietary therapy that can be used by patients with bladder cancer

Brown Sugar Watermelon Shortbread

Ingredients: 1 watermelon, appropriate amount of brown sugar.

Method: Remove the watermelon pulp and the green outer skin of the watermelon rind, leaving only the white part, cut into small pieces, sprinkle with a little brown sugar, and refrigerate. It can be eaten after about 1 hour.

Efficacy: Clears away heat and promotes diuresis, and can relieve edema in patients with bladder cancer after surgery.

Astragalus, Ginseng and Walnut Porridge

Ingredients: 10 grams of Codonopsis pilosula, 20 grams each of Astragalus, Chinese yam, white lentil, and jujube, 30 grams of walnut kernels, 100 grams of polished rice, and appropriate amount of honey.

Method: Put walnut kernels in boiling water, add a little salt and soak for half an hour, peel them, soak them in cold water, wash them and take them out. Boil the yam and mash it. Cut the lentils into small pieces. Wash the codonopsis and astragalus, put them into a gauze bag, put them into a casserole with water and boil them, change to medium heat and simmer for 30 minutes, pick out the gauze medicine bag and keep the medicine juice. Add polished rice, add appropriate amount of water, walnut kernels, jujubes, and white lentils and boil them together, then add the yam, simmer on low heat until it becomes porridge, stir with appropriate amount of honey, and it is ready to eat. Take 1 bowl of warm food each morning and evening.

Efficacy: replenishing qi, nourishing blood, producing essence, tonifying the middle, strengthening spleen and strengthening kidney. Suitable for bladder cancer patients with hematuria, sore waist and knees, shortness of breath and poor appetite, and urinary incontinence and persistent urination.
