What causes hip pain?

Hip pain is not a serious disease. I believe many people have experienced it. However, because there are more muscles and soft tissues near the hip joint, it is still difficult to treat. Moreover, the location of the pain cannot be located very accurately, so there is still some difficulty in diagnosing hip pain. However, once hip pain is discovered, timely treatment is required. Otherwise, the longer you delay, the more likely your hip joint will become stiff.

1. Causes of hip pain

1. Muscle and tendon strain: Most cases have a history of acute injury, and there may be local swelling, tenderness, and ecchymosis. The diagnosis can be confirmed by B-ultrasound or MRI.

2. Children should be excluded from the possibility of anterior superior iliac spine avulsion fracture or femoral capital epiphysis displacement. It can be confirmed by X-ray.

3. Tendinopathy: caused by excessive exercise. There is local tenderness, and the pain worsens with increased exercise.

4. Arthritis: Symptoms include pain during activity, which gradually worsens. Decreased joint mobility, especially internal rotation. X-rays show narrowing of the joint space and the formation of osteophytes. If joint inflammation occurs in young people, it is necessary to consider whether there are inflammatory factors such as infectious arthritis, reactive arthritis or other systemic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis.

5. Tendon ending inflammation: caused by rheumatic diseases affecting the tendons. Mostly located at the end of tendons. Tendons in other parts may be affected at the same time.

6. Femoral neck fracture: caused by excessive exercise, trauma, bone abnormalities, etc., pain is felt during internal rotation. Fatigue fractures can

It appears normal on X-rays, and nuclear scanning or MRI is required for a definitive diagnosis.

7. Osteitis pubis: pain in the middle of the pubic bone, radiating to the hip joint. There is direct tenderness locally.

8. Ilioinguinal nerve compression: The pain is similar to that of sports hernia, but there is also atrophy and spasm of the adductor muscles. This can be confirmed by electromyography.

9. Sports hernia: manifested by chronic groin pain. Increased weight during exercise. There may be tenderness over the upper inguinal ring.

10. Labral disease: caused by a history of injury, manifested as chronic deep intra-articular pain. "Interlocking" can occur when walking.

2. Treatment and care of hip pain:

Once the cause of hip pain is diagnosed, necessary treatment should be given according to the different diseases. Synovitis caused by bacteria should be treated as early as possible. If infectious arthritis is discovered early, there is still a chance that it can be controlled to a certain extent, but once it enters the stage of hip cartilage destruction, the ultimate result is hip stiffness and loss of joint function. Common treatments include:

1. Drug treatment: analgesics (Fenbid, Lunanbet, etc.), B vitamins (vitamin B1, vitamin B12), and short-term oral corticosteroids can help recovery.

2. Physical therapy: Ultrashort wave therapy, ultraviolet irradiation and other treatments can be used in the acute phase. In the chronic stage, short wave therapy and direct current iodine ion introduction can be used.

3. Pay attention to rest and reduce the weight on the hip joint

4. Let me teach you a method: lie on your back with your legs straight, hold one calf with both hands, bend your knees and press your leg as close to your chest as possible, slowly, do it twice in a row, press one leg and then the other one, and keep the other leg straight as much as possible. Get up and walk slowly a few times.
