I suddenly feel dizzy. What's going on?

Dizziness has a great impact on people's bodies, usually causing patients to become unconscious, unable to stand, etc. Therefore, the impact on life is particularly great. There are many ways in which dizziness can occur, and most of them occur suddenly, making it difficult to guard against. The reasons for this situation are very complicated. Let’s take a look at what causes sudden dizziness.

First, insufficient blood supply to the brain

If you stand still for a long time or because of some emotional changes, such as sudden fear and pain, or fainting from blood or needles, it is easy to cause dizziness. In addition, if a person's carotid artery is compressed or the collar is too tight, affecting blood circulation, it is also likely to cause dizziness.

Second, situational syncope

Sudden dizziness may be situational syncope, which mainly occurs in certain specific situations. For example, a person is likely to experience temporary dizziness after urinating, defecating, swallowing, abdominal pain or laughing. If people experience this situation, they don't need to worry too much. It's only temporary and will heal soon.

Third, postural hypotension

If you suffer from orthostatic hypotension, you will feel dizzy when this condition occurs. This is one of the most common reasons why people experience a dizzy feeling that disappears after a few seconds, and it can happen even to normal people who don't suffer from any illness.

The most common thing in life is that when you squat in the toilet for a long time and suddenly stand up, you will find yourself dizzy and even feel that everything is dark in front of your eyes. But it won't be long before everything slowly returns to normal. This is mainly because people squat for too long, causing blood to accumulate in the lower limbs and unable to flow to the brain quickly, thus causing transient cerebral ischemia.

In addition, if a person is often bedridden, he or she may easily experience dizziness when getting up suddenly. Or when people take alcohol or certain drugs, it is easy to induce such a situation.
