Is the dripping shape of milk a hindrance?

When breastfeeding, mothers need to pay attention to many things. For example, they must adjust the diet structure to ensure the health of breast milk. They must not eat foods that can produce milk, otherwise it may lead to insufficient milk. In addition, during breastfeeding, they must pay close attention to changes in milk. Some mothers will have dripping milk. Is this a sign of milk blockage?

Is the dripping shape of milk a hindrance?

If the mother's nipples only have two milk glands that are in a jet-like shape, then the milk glands are not fully unblocked yet. The mother needs to unblock the milk first. She can find a milk massage therapist to unblock the milk, or she can eat some Lulutong or buy tongcao to boil pig's trotter soup. After the milk glands are unblocked, drinking the soup will increase the milk supply.

1. There is little milk in the breasts and the breasts rarely feel swollen.

2. The breasts are swollen and painful, and no matter what you do, the milk is stuck inside and won’t come out, and the baby can’t suck it out.

3. I always feel there is milk congestion or lump in the breast. Rubbing it will relieve it slightly, but it will still be there if I stop rubbing it.

4. In the early postpartum period, the breasts still feel swollen and painful. Due to various reasons such as the baby not being around, being angry, or the baby not wanting to eat, the milk supply becomes less and less, and the breasts are no longer swollen.

5. The entire breast is swollen and hard like a rock. No matter how you massage, apply heat, or suck, it won't solve the problem. A breast pump is of no help and can easily cause nipple cracking and unbearable pain.

6. There is plenty of milk, but the breasts sometimes feel tingling and tender to the touch.

7. Milk accumulation and breast heat are early symptoms of mastitis.

8. There are lumps of different sizes in the breasts, which slide when touched and feel painful when pressed.

9. Milk accumulation causes breast lumps, which cannot be rubbed away no matter how hard you try. Sometimes there are lumps under the armpits, which also cannot be rubbed away.

10. Inadequate breast care during pregnancy, excessive sucking by the baby or use of a breast pump after delivery, but no milk is produced, leads to nipple ulceration or cracking.

If it drips drop by drop, it means the milk is thick. If it comes out, the milk is thin. Next time when your breasts are swollen, you can rub them back with your hands.

If your baby sucks milk in a jet-like manner, be careful not to let him choke on the milk. Apply a towel to the area every day and let the baby suck the milk correctly on the areola. This way, the areola won't feel swollen and painful. Also, avoid nursing bras that are too tight.
