Causes and treatments of unbearable pain in the thigh tendons when walking

Many people have experienced this situation after excessive exercise: when walking, they feel unbearable pain in the hamstrings and cannot walk. This situation is actually quite common. Generally speaking, muscle strain and excessive exercise may cause this situation. This situation doesn't actually have many disadvantages, but it makes walking difficult. It makes people feel very painful, so it needs timely treatment.

1. Causes of tight hamstring pain

1. Thigh pain and discomfort after the test may be caused by muscle injury. You can pay attention to rest, local massage and physical therapy, and use blood-activating, anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs. 2. It is caused by calcium deficiency, so you need to supplement calcium appropriately. You should ensure a balanced nutrition and eat more soy products, milk, and shrimps. 3. There are many muscles on the posterior side of the joint that are connected to the buttocks. When the knee joint is straightened, they will be pulled. This part of the muscles will be strained, and after trauma, it will cause pain in the flexor knee joint. It is recommended to rest first. You can apply hot compresses on the back of the knee joint and the right buttocks. Now that the weather is getting colder, it is best to put a cushion on the seat to prevent cold.

2. Treatment Methods

(1) Eliminate the causative factors: If the cause of the injury is related to the working posture, the conditions should be changed and the working position should be improved according to the cause. (2) Strengthen exercise: Add targeted physical therapy, such as Tai Chi, health gymnastics, etc. (3) Rest and immobilization: Patients with chronic lumbar strain can rest in bed when they experience severe pain, or use a waist belt to immobilize themselves, or use a wide belt to protect themselves. You can wear a waist belt when working to reduce the strain on your lumbar muscles, but you must remove the waist belt every day and exercise your back and lumbar muscles. (4) Improve blood circulation: Use massage, traction, local heat penetration, ion introduction, ultrashort wave, audio and other methods to relieve muscle spasms and improve blood circulation. (5) Analgesia: For patients with localized tenderness, 1 ml of prednisolone acetate or hydrocortisone acetate plus 5-10 ml of procaine can be injected into the painful area once every 5-7 days, with 3-4 times as a course of treatment. (6) Acupuncture and Chinese medicine: Acupuncture and cupping have certain therapeutic effects and can relieve pain, while Chinese medicine mainly focuses on eliminating pathogenic factors and strengthening the body.

3. Notes

Aspirin, indomethacin, ibuprofen, etc. can be used when pain occurs, but they should not be used for a long time to avoid dependence or reduced efficacy.
