In reality, it is impossible to thaw frozen meat in a microwave oven to the fresh state it was when you first purchased it. After the meat has been stored in the freezer of the refrigerator for a period of time, the different parts such as the skin layer, fat layer, lean meat layer, or minced meat and whole pieces of meat will be frozen to different degrees. Therefore, even if the thawing function is used, there will still be some "over-thawed" or "incompletely thawed" parts, which is normal.

The thawing standard currently recognized by the industry is to conduct tests in accordance with the "GBT18800-2008 Microwave Oven Performance Test Method (Current)". Taking the thawing of 500 grams of meat as an example, the computer model uses the automatic thawing menu or the mechanical model uses the "thawing" mode for 10 minutes. The thawed grams must reach 300 grams, or more than 60%, to be qualified, with no cooked ingredients, and a small amount of unthawed lumps are allowed. To make an analogy, for clothes washed in a high-end fully automatic washing machine that integrates immersion, soaking, washing and dehydration, clothes that are light and thin and located at the wall of the washing machine may be dehydrated better than clothes that are slightly thicker and located in the center of the washing machine. All clothes need to be hung out to dry with the help of wind and sunlight to finally be dry and suitable for wearing. This has nothing to do with the quality of the product itself.

Microwave ovens are easy to use, but they also have many taboos. Experts remind that meat that has been thawed in a microwave cannot be put back into the refrigerator for freezing. When meat is thawed in a microwave, its outer surface is heated at a low temperature and bacteria begin to multiply. Although refreezing can stop bacterial reproduction, it cannot kill the living bacteria. If meat that has been thawed in a microwave is to be put back into the refrigerator, it must be heated until fully cooked.
