Cholecystitis has these symptoms, come and have a look

Cholelithiasis is very common in daily life. It is divided into two types: acute and chronic, and each has different symptoms. The common point between the two is that they are both accompanied by symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and fever. Therefore, when patients find themselves having these symptoms, they should pay full attention and seek medical treatment in time to recover their health as soon as possible.

1. Symptoms of chronic cholecystitis

The clinical manifestations of chronic cholecystitis are often atypical and not obvious. Usually, you may often experience symptoms of indigestion such as dull pain in the right upper abdomen, bloating, belching, nausea, and aversion to greasy food. Some patients feel dull pain under the right scapula, right hypochondrium or right waist. It is more obvious after standing, exercising and taking a cold shower. The patient has mild tenderness below the rib margin in the right upper abdomen, or discomfort when pressing. Ultrasound examination shows that the gallbladder is prominent or enlarged, and the emptying function is impaired. When stones are found after oral cholecystography, the diagnosis can be confirmed. Patients with cholecystitis will have such a personal experience, that is, after eating more greasy food, they will feel discomfort or stuffy pain in the heart area. In severe cases, there will be paroxysmal colic in the right upper abdomen, sometimes radiating to the right shoulder blade, and there will be symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and fever, and they often have to go to the hospital for emergency treatment.

2. Why does eating greasy food cause acute attacks in patients with cholecystitis?

It turns out that when the gallbladder is inflamed, it will affect the excretion of bile to varying degrees, and bile plays an extremely important role in digesting fat in food. When the patient eats greasy food, it stimulates the gallbladder to contract and secrete a large amount of bile. As a result, the gallbladder will contract violently, causing an acute attack of cholecystitis.

3. It is very important to arrange a reasonable diet

(1) Eat less high-fat foods. Pork, beef, mutton, cream, butter, fried foods (especially poached eggs), animal offal, fish roe, and oily pastries are all high-fat foods. Patients with cholecystitis should eat as little of these foods as possible. Stimulates gallbladder contraction and secretes large amounts of bile. As a result, the gallbladder will contract violently, causing an acute attack of cholecystitis. Therefore, in order to reduce the burden on the diseased gallbladder, it is very important to arrange a reasonable diet.

(2) Appropriate intake of high-quality protein. If a person does not eat animal food for a long time, the body will inevitably lack protein and other nutrients to varying degrees and suffer from malnutrition, which will lead to decreased resistance, susceptibility to illness, and is not conducive to the recovery of patients with cholecystitis. Therefore, adequate intake of high-quality protein is absolutely necessary. Lean meat, chicken, duck, fish, eggs, soy products, etc. are rich in high-quality protein.

(3) Replenishing energy: The continuation of life and metabolism require a large amount of energy, and the rice, noodles, fruits, etc. consumed by humans contain a large amount of energy. For patients with cholecystitis, the above foods are not restricted and can be eaten on demand to meet the body's metabolic needs.

(4) Avoid irritating foods. Patients with cholecystitis should not only pay attention to eating soft and easy-to-digest foods and eating small and frequent meals, but also avoid spicy foods, alcohol and other irritating foods to reduce or avoid irritation to the gallbladder. In short, the dietary arrangements for patients with cholecystitis are not only applicable during acute attacks, but also during the quiescent or recovery period to prevent recurrence.
