What causes urethral pain when boys urinate?

Men may feel a stinging sensation in the urethra when urinating. This may be due to urethritis, cystitis, prostatitis, etc., all of which may cause urethritis. Most patients suffer from urethritis due to lack of attention to hygiene.

(1) Lesions are mostly in the urethra

When men start to urinate, they may experience stinging pain at the urethral opening, or have difficulty urinating. At this time, the male lesions mostly occur in the urethra, often due to urethritis.

(2) Lesions are mostly in the urethra

If there is stinging pain in the urethra at the end of urination and urgency, the lesion is mostly in the urethra, which is common in acute cystitis.

(3) Lesions are mostly in the urethra or adjacent organs

If there is a stinging pain in the urethra at the end of urination, pain after urination, or a feeling of "empty pain", or pain even without urination, the lesions are mostly in the urethra or adjacent organs, such as trigone inflammation, prostatitis, etc.

(4) Sudden interruption of urination accompanied by stinging pain at the urethral opening or urinary retention

Seen in bladder, urethral stones or urinary tract foreign bodies.

(5) Difficult urination with stinging pain at the urethral opening

Men not only experience stinging pain when urinating, but also difficulty urinating. This often occurs in elderly men and is mostly due to prostate hyperplasia, but may also be due to urethral stones.

(6) Stinging or burning pain in the urethra during urination

It is more common in acute inflammatory stimulation, such as acute urethritis, cystitis, prostatitis, and pyelonephritis. At the same time, non-gonococcal patients experience urethral itching, burning sensation and painful urination. A few have frequent urination and a slight redness of the urethral opening.

When you wake up in the morning, there is a small amount of mucous secretion at the urethral opening, or there is only a crusty opening, or the crotch is dirty, and the urine stream is forked when you urinate. Some patients need to squeeze hard with their hands to make secretions overflow from the urethra.

Symptoms are similar to those of gonococcal urethritis but are milder. Some patients have no symptoms. The patient was concurrently infected with gonorrhea.
