Why does hyperthyroidism occur?

Hyperthyroidism can be said to be the most common disease problem in life, especially in women. The causes of hyperthyroidism include internal and external factors. The internal factors are caused by autoimmune factors, while the external factors may be long-term tension, excessive anxiety, emotional instability, and long-term intake of large amounts of high-iodine foods.

1. Internal factors that cause hyperthyroidism

First of all, the analysis of the internal causes of hyperthyroidism should start with autoimmune factors.

The human immune system includes two aspects: cellular immunity and humoral immunity. It mainly plays the role of protecting the body from damage by adverse external factors. Once the immune response exceeds the body's bottom line or the continuous stimulation lasts too long, it will cause tissue damage and dysfunction, and then cause the occurrence of hyperthyroidism.

Secondly, the onset of hyperthyroidism is related to genetic factors.

Hyperthyroidism is a disease with a genetic tendency, but it is not a hereditary disease. People with genetic factors for hyperthyroidism have a higher incidence of hyperthyroidism.

2. External factors that cause hyperthyroidism

First of all, the analysis of the external causes of hyperthyroidism should start with adverse mental stimulation, such as long-term tension, excessive anxiety, extreme panic, etc., which can induce the occurrence of hyperthyroidism.

Secondly, improper diet is also a major external factor that induces hyperthyroidism. For example, long-term and excessive intake of high-iodine foods will cause a large amount of iodine accumulation in the body, which in turn will trigger hypersecretion of thyroid hormones and lead to the occurrence of hyperthyroidism.

Again, trauma is one of the external causes of hyperthyroidism. Once the body suffers trauma such as a sudden car accident, it is likely to induce the onset of hyperthyroidism.
