The difference between soap powder and washing powder

Soap powder and washing powder are common items in life. These two items are mainly used to wash clothes and have a certain washing effect. Many people tend to confuse soap powder and laundry detergent. In terms of function, the two have many similarities, but there are still big differences between soap powder and laundry detergent in many details. Therefore, when choosing cleaning items, you must pay attention to the difference between soap powder and laundry detergent.

1. Soap powder

The functions of soap powder and washing powder are basically the same. All for the purpose of washing clothes clean and removing stains. But at a deeper level, there are still big differences between soap powder and laundry detergent. Its raw materials are different from those of washing powder. Soap powder is made up of 90% renewable plant oils, which has little irritation to the skin. Natural soap powder is more suitable for washing underwear, and it is naturally soft, cleans and leaves a fragrance.

2. Washing powder

Washing powder is also a common laundry appliance. Washing powder is an alkaline synthetic laundry detergent with borate and silicate as the main raw materials. The main ingredients of laundry detergent are: anionic surfactants, nonionic surfactants, water softeners, dirt suspension agents, fiber anti-scaling agents, enzymes, fluorescent agents and fragrances; synthetic surfactants have side effects such as making hands rough, and are also a major public hazard that pollutes the environment.

3. Others

The active ingredients of natural soap powder are mainly fatty acids, and the active ingredients of laundry detergent are mainly sodium alkylbenzene sulfonate. In addition, the difference in their active ingredients leads to different requirements for their formula structures. Natural soap powder is more suitable for washing underwear. Soap powder is easier to rinse and has super low foaming properties. Many people think that the richer the foam, the cleaner the clothes will be. But in fact, according to market research, ultra-low foaming natural soap powder has occupied a large market share and has become the leader in market-leading washing products. Detergent can produce a lot of bubbles, but more bubbles does not mean the clothes will be cleaner.
