The early symptoms of gonorrhea are redness, swelling, itching and slight stinging of the urethra, followed by purulent discharge from the urethra, which gradually worsens. If effective treatment is not taken at this time, it may turn into chronic gonococcal urethritis. Some patients may develop secondary prostatitis, seminal vesiculitis, epididymitis, etc.
