Can leukoplakia be cured? How to treat it

White spots are also called vitiligo. It is a relatively serious skin disease. It will not have much impact on the patient's life, but it will affect the overall appearance of the person. Therefore, white spots have a great psychological impact on patients. The treatment of white spots is still in the research stage. Early detection and early cure have greater hope. Let's take a look at whether white spots can be cured and how to treat it.

Vitiligo is a depigmentation disease of the skin, mucous membranes and hair caused by a significant decrease or loss of melanocytes. There are dozens of causes of melanin loss, such as stress, emergency situations, trauma, decreased immunity, endocrine disorders, relative lack of tyrosine and copper ions, genetics, infection and many other factors. If you have vitiligo, you should get checked and treated as soon as possible to prevent the spread of white spots.

1. Diet adjustment:

Eat more foods containing tyrosine and minerals, such as meat, animal liver, eggs, milk (milk, yogurt), beans, peanuts, black sesame seeds, walnuts, raisins, snails, clams and other shellfish. At the same time, you should avoid eating chili peppers and alcohol, whether it is beer or white wine; avoid eating tomatoes because tomatoes contain a lot of vitamin C. Vitamin C can interrupt the synthesis of melanin, thereby preventing the regeneration of melanin in the lesion. Other foods rich in vitamin C, such as oranges, grapefruits, apricots, hawthorns, cherries, kiwis, strawberries, bayberries, etc., should be eaten less or not.

2. Oral administration of Chinese medicine:

Commonly used medicines include ginseng, astragalus, poria, and deer antler for strengthening the body, replenishing blood and regulating qi; Polygonum multiflorum and psoralea corylifolia for nourishing the liver and kidneys, Saposhnikovia divaricata and Tribulus terrestris for promoting blood circulation and dispelling wind, soothing the liver and regulating qi; musk, Panax notoginseng, Salvia miltiorrhiza, and safflower for promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, removing white spots, improving blood circulation, and promoting the formation and metabolism of local pigments. The combination of these medicines has the effects of nourishing while promoting circulation, benefiting while purging, and together they harmonize Qi and blood, nourishing the skin and removing white spots. They can promote the transformation function of human lymphocytes, activate tyrosinase activity, and promote melanin synthesis.

3. Acupuncture and massage:

Perform routine local disinfection and tap the white spot area with a plum blossom needle, slowly from the outside to the inside, until the white spot becomes red or slightly bleeding. After tapping, you can use external tincture for external treatment. Other treatments such as body acupuncture or ear acupuncture are also effective.
