First aid measures for penicillin anaphylactic shock, let’s learn

Penicillin is an antibiotic drug that is of great help to people in medicine. However, some people may have allergic reactions to it, and severe cases may even lead to anaphylactic shock. It is also the most serious drug allergy, with a very high mortality rate.

1. Stop taking the medicine immediately, lie flat (with head low and feet high), keep warm, and give oxygen.

2. Immediately subcutaneously inject 0.5-1 ml of 0.1% epinephrine hydrochloride (reduce the dosage for children). If the symptoms persist, subcutaneously or intravenously inject 0.5 ml over 20-30 minutes. At the same time, give 5 ml of dexamethasone intravenously, or add 200-300 ml of hydrocortisone to 5%-10% glucose solution for intravenous drip.

3. Antihistamines: such as promethazine hydrochloride 25-50 mg or diphenhydramine 40 mg intramuscular injection.

4. Acupuncture therapy: such as Ren Zhong, Nei Guan and other parts.

5. If the condition does not improve and blood pressure does not rise after the above treatment, blood volume needs to be expanded and dextran can be used. If necessary, pressor drugs such as dopamine, alamin, norepinephrine, etc. can be used.

6. Respiratory stimulants such as nikethamide and chlorpheniramine can be used for respiratory suppression. Perform artificial respiration or tracheotomy if necessary.

7. In case of cardiac arrest, inject cardiotonic drugs into the heart and perform external cardiac compression at the same time.

8. When muscle tone is reduced or paralyzed, inject 0.5-1 mg of neostigmine subcutaneously.
