How many calories does the human body need every day?

People's bodies need certain nutrients every day. If you do not take in enough nutrients, it will lead to nutritional imbalance, and even in severe cases it will cause endocrine disorders in your body. This kind of endocrine disorder is not only suffered by female friends, but also many male friends may suffer from endocrine disorders. In particular, the human body needs a sufficient amount of calories, which is commonly known as calories. You cannot not take in enough calories for fear of gaining weight.

A normal person consumes 2000-2400 kcal per day. In order to maintain the current weight, a person must consume 30 to 35 kcal per kilogram of body weight per day. A daily intake of at least 1000 to 1200 kcal is required to maintain physiological needs. For those who do light manual labor, (15.3×body weight+679)×1.55 kcal is a more accurate estimate of the daily calorie intake.

The human body needs to consume at least 1500 calories per day.

The amount of calories the human body needs every day is related to body weight and physical activity level. Generally speaking, a person with a standard weight of 60 kg needs 1500-1600 calories a day when resting; if he is moderately active, he needs 1800-2000 calories a day.

However, there is a very strange phenomenon in the human body. When our food intake is insufficient, the body will produce heat itself. This endogenous heat mainly comes from the decomposition of glycogen and fat. The decomposition of glycogen produces glucose, up to 180 grams a day (equivalent to 720 calories), while the decomposition of fat produces fatty acids and glycerol. Glycerol can be converted into glucose for cell use, and fatty acids can be converted into ketone bodies (Ketone) for cells (including nerve tissue) to use.

Therefore, if a person has a lot of subcutaneous fat (obese), the adipose tissue is an internal source of energy that can be broken down to supply the calories needed for the body's metabolism. However, generally speaking, at least 800 kcal (thousands of calories) must be consumed a day to avoid harming health.

If the human body does not take in enough calories, the whole person's spirit will become not so good, and there will be no way to support oneself to complete normal work and study. Therefore, normal people must take in 1500 calories a day. However, it still depends on each person's physical condition. If you are a manual laborer, you will consume more calories.
