Using jujube tree bark as a medicinal material is an invention of my country and later became popular in Europe, America and other places. Jujube tree bark has many functions, such as relieving cough and inflammation, or treating dysentery. Especially for patients with acute bacterial dysentery, if they use old jujube tree bark for treatment, they can quickly relieve abdominal pain, and dysentery can be completely cured in about 2 to 6 days. Here we will introduce some common knowledge about jujube tree bark. Jujube bark is the bark of the jujube of the Rhamnaceae family. The plant morphology is detailed in the "Jujube" entry. It can be harvested all year round, but is best harvested in spring. Use a crescent-shaped sickle to scrape off the old bark from the trunk of the jujube tree and dry it in the sun. When mice were gavage-administered with alcohol extract of jujube bark, it had a significant expectorant effect (phenol red method), but a less obvious antitussive effect; however, if injected intraperitoneally, it had an antitussive effect (ammonia spray-induced cough method). The bark of the jujube tree is warm in nature and non-toxic. Functions and indications: astringent and antidiarrheal, expectorant, antitussive, anti-inflammatory and hemostatic. Treat dysentery, enteritis, chronic bronchitis, blurred vision, burns, and bleeding from trauma. Dosage and Administration: For internal use: burn the essence and grind into powder, 0.5-1 qian. For external use: decoct in water for washing or burn and grind into powder for sprinkling. Prescription: For treating blurred vision: equal parts of jujube tree bark and old mulberry tree bark. Burn and grind it, use one cup of it each time, boil it with well water, let it settle, and use it to clean your eyes. Wash three times in January, and the blind will see again. Avoid meat, alcohol and sexual intercourse. To treat diarrhea: fry a bunch of jujube tree bark until it is charred and grind into powder. Boil three grams of Plantago seeds in water and drink it with it. Take five fen each morning and evening before meals. For treating bacillary dysentery and enteritis: remove dirt from the bark of old jujube trees and grind it into fine powder. Take three parts each time, three times a day. To treat knife wounds: 3 grams of jujube tree bark and 1 gram of angelica. Fry each into a very fine powder and put into a bottle for later use. If you have a knife wound and the bleeding won't stop, sprinkle this powder on the affected area. It will form a firm scab and will not easily get infected. When there is a wound on our skin surface, we can use jujube tree bark to treat it. Grind the jujube tree bark into powder, then add sesame oil and yellow, mix evenly to make an ointment, and apply it on the skin surface. This will quickly reduce inflammation and relieve pain. When the skin is itchy, applying this ointment can quickly relieve the itching. Eating, chronic bronchitis in the elderly can also be treated with jujube tree bark. |
