In our daily life, there are many things that are worth our understanding, not just some little knowledge in daily life, but also what we need to learn during the treatment period. Moreover, the treatment of genital warts and herpes is the most important one. Many patients are not so familiar with its treatment measures. So, how to treat genital warts and herpes better? 1. Surgical treatment Single, small warts can be removed surgically; giant warts can be removed using Mohs surgery, with frozen sections used to check whether the lesions have been removed cleanly. 2. Cryotherapy Using liquid nitrogen at a low temperature of -196℃, the freezing method is used to treat genital warts, which promotes the necrosis and shedding of wart tissue. This method is suitable for warts with a small number and small area. 1-2 treatments can be performed with an interval of one week. 3. Laser treatment Genital warts are usually treated with a CO2 laser and ablative therapy. This treatment is most suitable for warts on the vulva, penis, or perianal area. Single or a small number of multiple warts can be treated once, while multiple or large warts can be treated 2-3 times, with an interval of one week between them. 4. Electrocautery Use high-frequency electroacupuncture or electrosurgery to remove warts. Method: Local anesthesia, followed by electrocautery. This treatment is suitable for warts with a small number and small area. 5. Microwave therapy Using a microwave surgical treatment machine and lidocaine local anesthesia, the tip of the rod-shaped radiation probe is inserted into the sharp wetness until it reaches the base of the wart. When the wart becomes smaller, darker in color, and changes from soft to hard, thermal radiation coagulation is complete and the probe can be removed. Coagulated lesions can be removed with forceps. To prevent recurrence, the remaining base can be coagulated again. 6. Beta-ray therapy We have achieved satisfactory results in the treatment of genital warts using beta-rays. This method is highly effective, painless, non-destructive, has few side effects, and a low recurrence rate, and is worth promoting in clinical practice. 7. Drug therapy (1) Podophyllum resin: This treatment is suitable for warts in moist areas, such as warts on the glans penis and perineum caused by excessive foreskin but without circumcision. However, podophyllum resin cannot be used to treat cervical condyloma acuminatum. Apply 20% podophyllum resin tincture to the lesions or before using the medicine, first use oily antibacterial ointment to protect the normal skin or mucous membrane around the lesions, and then apply the medicine. 4-6 hours after use, wash with 30% boric acid water or soapy water. Repeat the medication after 3 days if necessary. This medicine is the first choice medicine used abroad for the treatment of this disease, and it can usually be cured with one use. However, it has many disadvantages, such as being highly destructive to tissues and causing local ulcers if used improperly. It is highly toxic, with the main symptoms being nausea, intestinal obstruction, leukopenia and thrombocytopenia, tachycardia, urinary retention or oliguria. Therefore, it must be used with caution. If the above reactions are found, the drug should be discontinued immediately. (2) Antiviral drugs: 5% phthalamide cream or 0.25% herpes ointment can be applied externally twice a day. Acyclovir is taken orally, 5 times a day, 200 mg each time, or its ointment is used externally, and alpha-interferon is injected 3 million units daily, five days a week. Or inject 3 million units of interferon into the base of the wart twice a week. After 2-3 weeks of continuous use, the main side effect is flu-like syndrome, while the side effects of local medications are fewer and milder. (3) Corrosive agents or disinfectants: Commonly used are 30%-50% trichloroacetic acid or saturated dichloroacetic acid, or 18% peracetic acid. Use a 100ml mixed solution of 10% salicylic acid and glacial acetic acid or 40% formaldehyde, 2% liquefied phenol, and 75% ethanol and distilled water, and apply it topically for the glans penis and perianal warts, once a day or every other day, the effect is very good. The disinfectant can be applied externally with 20% iodine tincture, or 2.5-5% iodine tincture can be injected into the base of the wart, 0.1-1.5 ml each time, or chlorhexidine can be applied externally or 0.1-0.2% can be applied externally. The latter needs to be combined with systemic therapy. Through the introduction above, I believe everyone has a detailed understanding of its treatment measures. I hope the above content can be of some help to everyone. In daily life, we should also do more exercise, improve our physical fitness, and pay more attention to rest. This is very beneficial to our body. |
