The difference between fresh milk and pure milk

Milk is a common food on everyone’s table, and the quality of milk is directly related to everyone’s health. I am the only daughter in the family and I seldom do housework. Most of the housework is done by my parents. On Sunday, I went to the supermarket to buy snacks. My mother asked me to bring back some milk as well. I drink milk often. When I got to the supermarket, I saw so many kinds of milk, all kinds of brands. It said fresh milk, pure milk, etc. I didn't know which one to buy.

I often drink milk, but I don’t know what kind of milk I am drinking. Fresh milk and pure milk are not the same. They are both made of milk, so what is the difference between these two kinds of milk? I went home and searched a lot of information on the computer and found the answer. There is indeed a difference between the two kinds of milk.

There is only one word difference between fresh milk and pure milk, but there is actually a difference in the nutritional value of the milk. The processing raw materials of the two types of milk are the same, both are made from fresh cow's milk. The most essential difference between the two types of milk is the different sterilization methods. Fresh milk, also known as pasteurized milk, is made from fresh cow's milk. Pasteurized fresh milk is fresh milk that has been heated at 85°C. Because the sterilization method does not have a high temperature, it can kill harmful bacteria while preserving the nutritional active substances in the milk to the maximum extent. Pure milk is room temperature milk, which is ultra-high temperature sterilized milk that has been sterilized at instant high temperature. This milk can be stored at room temperature. "The instantaneous temperature of ultra-high temperature sterilization of pure milk is at least 132°C. This sterilization method can kill all microorganisms in milk, but the nutritional content of milk after sterilization is greatly lost, especially calcium and vitamins. To use a figurative analogy, pasteurized milk is like fresh fruit, while ultra-high temperature sterilized milk is like canned fruit. From the perspective of freshness and nutrition, fresh milk is better than pure milk.

When people buy milk, they usually buy the one with a longer shelf life. This saves trouble and they can buy more at a time to avoid it from expiration. Pure milk usually has a long shelf life. As mentioned above, it is best to drink fresh milk. The shelf life of fresh milk is generally short, so you can buy a small amount at a time to avoid expiration.
