Some tips for treating insomnia at night

For the treatment of insomnia, early diagnosis, prevention and control are the most effective methods. At the same time, some folk remedies for treating insomnia can also increase the efficacy under the guidance of experts. Next, experts from Beijing Yongan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine will introduce some folk remedies for treating insomnia at night, hoping to help patients recover as soon as possible.

1. Listen to some quiet and soft music.

Insomnia patients can listen to Mozart's music and try to reduce unnecessary noise, which is the best way to treat insomnia. Compared with other classical music, Mozart's music is most effective in treating insomnia. It normalizes blood pressure and pulse and reduces nervous tension. But if you are not a fan of his music, you can also listen to other soothing instrumental music before going to bed.

It’s best if the music includes the sound of waves hitting the shore and the cries of seagulls - it can make you relax. If all else fails, turn on a fan; the monotonous hum will lull you to sleep.

2. Pay attention to what you eat before going to bed at night.

Don't eat too much at night, and it's best not to eat after 7pm. Methods to relieve insomnia are not only good for sleep, but also for your figure. Therefore, if you don’t have enough dinner, drink some yogurt or eat some fruit.

3. You can do foot care.

Foot bath therapy: decoct magnet, chrysanthemum, scutellaria baicalensis, and polyphylla in water twice, remove the residue and take the juice, pour it into the bathtub, soak your feet in the hot water for 15-30 minutes, once a night.

4. Scientific medicinal foods can integrate treatment into daily diet.

This method is very effective in treating insomnia. The method is to take appropriate amounts of jujube, yuanrou, rice and sugar. First, cook rice into porridge. When it boils, add dates and yuanrou. When the porridge is cooked, add rock sugar and boil it for one or two more times. Take one dose per day.

5. Sleeping posture needs to be scientific.

If you have a bad sleeping posture, it will also affect your sleep. In fact, sleeping posture varies from person to person. But it is better to sleep on your side. "When lying on your left side, bend your left foot, bend your left arm, support your head with your hand, stretch your right foot, and place your right hand between your right thigh. The opposite is true for lying on your right side." This sleeping posture is conducive to relaxation of the whole body and a sound sleep.

6. When your mind is calm, you will sleep more soundly.

It is best not to talk before going to bed and keep your mind calm, so that you will not suffer from insomnia. Do not talk or think before going to bed; calm your mind first, then your sleep; do not overuse your brain before going to bed; eliminate all distracting thoughts and stay quiet after going to bed; in addition, make sure the bedroom environment is quiet, the air is fresh, and the bed is of appropriate hardness or softness, which can improve the quality of sleep.

7. Bathing helps you sleep.

Physical relaxation and cleanliness can undoubtedly improve sleep quality. I personally recommend that people with insomnia take an essential oil bath or a sea salt bath before going to bed. Relax, the water temperature should not exceed 37 degrees Celsius, and soak for 10-15 minutes. Then get into bed immediately.
