Eight "fatal" dangers of washing machines

Eight "fatal" dangers of washing machines

1. Wash thoroughly with water

In order to save water, some people usually wash underwear first, then outerwear, and then socks and other miscellaneous items when washing clothes. They use one basin of water to wash everything, making the clothes dirty and black. Although this ensures that some clothes are clean, the clothes washed in the end are seriously contaminated. Especially mixing socks and women's underwear together is more harmful and can cause female genital diseases.

2. Not cleaning the washing machine for a long time

Some people never clean their washing machines. They keep washing as long as they can run. The inner wall of the drain is filled with cloth scraps and dirt, which breeds many viruses and bacteria. These dirt and bacteria will be transferred to clothes during the washing process.

3. Excessive use of detergent

Many people think that their clothes are too dirty or that detergents are cheap, so they often use excessive amounts of detergent. However, they do not rinse the clothes for long enough, and detergent residue often remains on the clothes. Most detergents are alkylbenzene compounds, which are irritating to the skin and can also affect liver function.

4. Wash all clothes together

In order to save time and effort, some people put all their clothes into the washing machine to wash them together. During the stirring and friction process of the washing machine, the bacteria, colors and loose fibers on the clothes will inevitably contaminate each other. The clothes sent to dry cleaners for cleaning are more complicated, including those of healthy people, patients, and perhaps even those of patients with infectious diseases.

5. Danger of electric shock

Do not pull the power cord hard to unplug the power plug; do not plug/unplug the plug with wet hands

6. Explosion hazard

Washing clothes containing solvents can easily cause the risk of explosion; if there is no special down jacket washing program, using a washing machine to wash down jackets is very likely to cause an explosion.

7. Danger of burns

When washing at high temperatures, the door glass of the washer-dryer will be very hot, which may cause burns. When the machine is draining hot water, be careful of burns.

8. Risk of injury

If the machine is still running, do not touch the inner drum. The high-speed running inner drum can easily cause hand injuries.
