Four signs that stomach disease is turning into cancer

Four signs that stomach disease is turning into cancer

Abdominal pain is a common symptom of internal medicine diseases in clinical practice. Many diseases can cause abdominal pain, and the pain caused by stomach disease varies depending on the type of stomach disease.

Signal 1: Change in the nature of pain

Gastric ulcer causes pain after a full meal. The pain occurs half an hour to two hours after a meal and disappears before the next meal. Once the nature of the pain changes, becoming persistent, irregular abdominal pain or becoming less severe, you should be alert.

Signal 2: Obvious weight loss

Patients with gastric ulcers may experience fatigue, exhaustion, weakness, loss of appetite, and indigestion diarrhea in a short period of time, especially after eating meat. The diarrhea will worsen, and they may experience nausea, vomiting, and vomiting of old food or dark red food. They may have difficulty digesting and absorbing nutrients in the food. Their overall condition may deteriorate rapidly in a short period of time, their nutritional status may become very poor, they may become obviously emaciated, lose weight rapidly, develop anemia, and persistent vomiting that is not responding to treatment, and the effect of drug treatment may deteriorate. These may also be signs of malignant transformation.

Signal 3: Upper abdomen is distended and full, and a mass can be felt

Gastric ulcer generally does not form abdominal masses. If a mass is felt in the pit of the stomach, it will be hard, rough in surface, rapidly enlarged, painful when pressed, and radiating to the back, left waist, navel, chest, precordial area, and even behind the sternum. As the lump grows larger, vomiting also becomes more severe. This situation usually indicates that a malignant transformation has occurred.

Signal 4: Unexplained black stools

If an ulcer patient has unexplained black stools, or the results of the fecal occult blood test are persistently positive, and severe anemia occurs, these phenomena indicate that the gastric ulcer may be becoming malignant.
