Symptoms of benign ovarian tumors

They are mostly unilateral with thin walls and may disappear on their own after 2-3 months of observation or oral contraceptives. If the lump persists or increases in size, it is likely to be an ovarian tumor.

When the tumor grows, you may feel abdominal distension or a mass in the abdomen. When the tumor grows and fills the entire pelvic and abdominal cavity, you may experience compression symptoms such as frequent urination, constipation, palpitations, and shortness of breath. During the triple examination, a round or quasi-round mass can be felt on one or both sides of the uterus. Most of them are cystic, with a smooth surface, movable, and not adhered to the uterus.

When benign ovarian tumors are relatively small, patients usually have no symptoms and they are usually discovered accidentally during a gynecological examination.
