How to determine if you have melanoma

How to determine if you have melanoma

First of all, we need to know what melanoma is. Melanoma is a malignant tumor. It is common in the lower limbs among Chinese people. So we must pay attention to areas that are prone to friction, such as the soles of the feet and the back of the neck. If there are melanocytic moles, we must pay close attention to them. Melanoma is usually related to the friction of shoes and pants.

A mole or a black spot that had been of a fixed size suddenly becomes larger, or a smooth surface becomes rough and uneven, or a mole that had no hair growing on its surface suddenly starts to grow hair, etc. These changes all require high attention, although current literature shows that hair growth on a pigmented mole is a good phenomenon.

If you feel obvious pain or discomfort locally, you must go to the hospital for prompt treatment. Many melanoma patients have no obvious abnormalities in the early stage of the lesion, but when there are metastatic lymph nodes at the distal end, such as melanoma on the foot, there is no special feeling, but if it appears at the root of the thigh, the lymph nodes are found to be swollen, and an obvious mass or nodule can be felt. Only after examination can it be found that it is melanoma, which is already in the late stage. Therefore, if there are obvious black spots or black spots on the feet, it is best to go to the hospital for consultation as soon as possible. There is no need to wait until cancer or late stage occurs. You can consider removing it through a small operation to avoid serious consequences.
