Diagnosed with lung cancer, want to know what to do next for treatment

After being diagnosed with lung cancer, patients need to choose the appropriate treatment method according to their own conditions. For patients with early-stage lung cancer, surgical resection is usually used for treatment; while for patients with mid- to late-stage lung cancer, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other methods may be needed to control the disease.

1. Early stage lung cancer

1. Surgical resection: If the patient's lung cancer is in the early stages and there are no obvious symptoms and signs, and no metastasis, the lesion can be removed surgically to achieve the purpose of cure. Commonly used surgical methods include segmentectomy, lobectomy, etc.

2. Radiotherapy: Before surgery, radiotherapy can be used to reduce the size of the tumor and increase the success rate of surgery. Radiotherapy is a treatment method that uses high-energy rays to kill cancer cells and is widely used in clinical practice.

2. Advanced Lung Cancer

1. Chemotherapy: For patients with lung cancer that has already experienced distant metastasis or spread, chemotherapy can be performed under the guidance of a doctor using drugs such as cisplatin injection and carboplatin injection, which can kill cancer cells and prolong the patient's survival time.

2. Targeted therapy: If it is non-small cell lung cancer, you can also use targeted drugs such as gefitinib tablets and erlotinib hydrochloride tablets for treatment as prescribed by your doctor. These drugs can inhibit the growth and reproduction of cancer cells, thereby delaying the progression of the disease.

In addition, patients are advised to pay attention to their usual diet and try to eat more nutrient-rich foods, such as eggs and lean meat. They can also eat fresh fruits and vegetables, such as apples and tomatoes, to supplement the various nutrients needed by the body, which is beneficial to health. At the same time, they also need to go to the hospital for regular checkups to understand the recovery of the disease.
