Liver cancer is one of the common malignant tumors in my country, with a very high mortality rate. It ranks third in the order of death from malignant tumors, second only to stomach and esophagus cancer; in rural areas of some regions, it ranks second, second only to stomach cancer. About 110,000 people die of liver cancer in my country each year, accounting for 45% of the world's liver cancer deaths. The main causes of liver cancer in my country are viral hepatitis infection, aflatoxin contamination in food, and drinking water pollution in rural areas. The most typical symptom of liver cancer is fatigue and weight loss for no reason. In the early stages of liver cancer, the first thing patients feel is physical fatigue. Compared with fatigue caused by other reasons, the fatigue caused by liver cancer cannot be eliminated even if the patient lies down and rests quietly. Why do people with liver cancer feel tired? Cancer cells damage the liver's storage function. The heat generated by the food consumed by the human body will be absorbed by the intestines, and part of it will be transported to the liver for storage. When our body needs it, it will be transported to all parts of the body. If the liver is invaded by liver cancer cells, the liver's storage function will be damaged and the body's fuel supply will be reduced. On the other hand, due to the continuous expansion of the tumor, it causes digestive tract dysfunction, indigestion, and nutrient absorption disorders, so mental fatigue due to insufficient energy will occur. At present, surgery is still the first choice for early treatment of liver cancer in clinical practice. The smaller the tumor and the more timely it is discovered, the higher its 5-year survival rate. However, at the same time as surgical treatment, attention should be paid to coordinated conditioning with Chinese medicine. Most patients with advanced liver cancer can no longer withstand surgical treatment due to various factors such as physical condition and the spread of cancer. For such patients, conservative treatment is often adopted in clinical practice. Liver cancer is mainly caused by hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and aflatoxin Liver cancer is mainly caused by hepatitis B and hepatitis C. According to the survey, about 40% of liver cancer patients have a history of chronic hepatitis, and the positive rate of Australia anti-(HbsAg) is significantly higher than that in low-incidence areas. It is currently found that hepatitis C virus infection, like hepatitis B infection, is closely related to the onset of liver cancer. Hepatitis B virus and hepatitis C virus are definitely one of the factors that promote cancer. About 50% to 90% of liver cancer patients have cirrhosis. In recent years, it has been found that the proportion of hepatitis C developing into cirrhosis is no less than that of hepatitis B. Animal experiments have confirmed that aflatoxin B1, a metabolite of aflatoxin, has a strong carcinogenic effect and is present in moldy corn, peanuts and other foods. In areas where food is seriously contaminated by aflatoxin B1, the incidence of liver cancer is also high. Nitrosamines, azo mustards, alcohol, organochlorine pesticides, etc. are all suspected carcinogens. Pay attention to these five points in preventing and treating liver cancer 1. Preventing Hepatitis Using hepatitis vaccines to prevent hepatitis and thus liver cancer has become one of the most promising ways to prevent liver cancer. Not only should children be vaccinated with hepatitis B vaccine when they are born, but adults who have not been vaccinated with hepatitis B vaccine and have not had hepatitis can also be vaccinated with hepatitis B vaccine. This can block some hepatitis from developing into liver cancer. 2. Stay away from carcinogens Do not eat moldy or mushy food, as aflatoxin contained in such food is a carcinogen. Eating moldy food is very likely to cause liver cancer. 3. Quit drinking Alcohol needs to be detoxified by the liver, the largest chemical factory in the human body. The acetaldehyde produced in this metabolic process is extremely toxic to the human body and can cause cell damage, fat deposition in liver cells, inflammation and necrosis of liver cells, and hyperplasia of fibrous connective tissue, which can eventually lead to cirrhosis of the liver, and some cirrhosis of the liver will turn into liver cancer. 4. Regular physical examinations. The risk of liver cancer in patients with chronic hepatitis B or C is 10 to 30 times higher than that of normal people. If hepatitis is cured, the damage to the liver caused by the hepatitis virus has not disappeared, which means that the basis for cancer is still there, so regular examinations should be conducted. For people over 35 years old who are positive for hepatitis B surface antigen, have chronic hepatitis or liver cirrhosis for more than 5 years, and have a family history of liver cancer in three generations of their direct relatives, testing alpha-fetoprotein and liver B-ultrasound every six months is the most effective way to detect liver cancer in the early stage. 5. Actively exercise. The occurrence of liver cancer is also related to the body's immunity. Under normal circumstances, cells in the human body may form cancer cells, but the human immune system has the ability to eliminate these cells, and the human body will not develop cancer. When the human body's immunity is weakened, it is easy to develop cancer. Actively exercising and enhancing the body's immunity are also important aspects of preventing liver cancer. Hepatitis B patients should have good living habits, have a regular daily routine, do appropriate physical and mental exercises, and maintain an optimistic mood. This can enhance physical fitness, improve the body's immunity, and prevent cirrhosis and liver cancer. |
