What are the types of lung cancer? There are three types

Many people know that lung cancer is cancer that occurs in the lungs, but in fact, there are many types of lung cancer, including squamous cell carcinoma, large cell undifferentiated carcinoma, and small cell undifferentiated carcinoma. These diseases are all classified as lung cancer, and most of them are caused by long-term smoking. After the disease occurs, it needs to be treated in time to avoid the metastasis of lung cancer.

Lung cancer is easily caused by the invasion of malignant tumors into the lungs. This type of disease often occurs in smokers. There are no obvious symptoms in the early stages of the disease, and it is often discovered in the middle and late stages. Surgery is needed to prevent the disease from worsening. And the treatment methods will be different depending on the location of the tumor. So what types of lung cancer are there?
1. Large cell undifferentiated carcinoma
This type of lung cancer lesions appear near the hilum of the lung or in the trachea at the edge of the lung. The cells are relatively large, but the size may be abnormal, and the shape may be irregular or polygonal. There may also be large areas of hemorrhagic necrosis.
After the appearance of large cell undifferentiated carcinoma, its nucleolus will be more obvious, and it will divide. It can be divided into giant cell type and clear cell type. Inflammatory cell infiltration and multinucleated giant cell infiltration will occur. This disease is mainly removed by surgery, and its metastasis time is relatively late.
2. Small cell undifferentiated carcinoma
This type of cancer is the most malignant type of lung cancer. It mainly occurs in young people, especially long-term smokers. This type of cancer cells is prone to appear in the large bronchi near the hilum of the lung. They tend to grow under the mucosa and invade the extrabronchial lung. In addition, this type of cancer cells grows faster and has a better ability to invade the brain and kidneys.
3. Squamous cell carcinoma
This type of cancer is also very common, accounting for 40% to 50% of primary lung cancers. It is more common in elderly men and is closely related to smoking. The longer you smoke, the greater the probability of developing this type of disease. Therefore, smoking cessation treatment is required in a timely manner after the onset of this type of disease. At the same time, this type of disease is mainly central lung cancer, which will grow into the lumen, causing bronchial stenosis, atelectasis and other conditions.
