Lymphoma is a malignant tumor, which is more common in young and middle-aged people. It is caused by the malignant proliferation of lymphocytes in the lymphatic system, which often occurs in lymph nodes, causing lymph node enlargement. How does lymphoma rank among tumors? This is a question that many lymphoma patients are very concerned about. In my country, lymphoma can be ranked among the top ten tumors, but there is no specific order of ranking. The cure rate of lymphoma is relatively low, so early prevention and early treatment are necessary to prolong life to the greatest extent. Swollen lymph nodes can be felt on the body, because most of the disease is characterized by swelling of superficial lymph nodes, and only a very small number of deep lymph nodes are swollen. However, in the early stages, they are mostly not red or painful, and are small in size, so they are often ignored, resulting in delayed treatment. Most lymphomas are first found in painless lymph node enlargement in the neck, which shows obvious signs of gradual increase and enlargement. Later, lymph nodes in other parts such as the submandibular, axillary, and groin will also be found one after another. Early lymph nodes are mostly the size of soybeans, appearing individually or in clusters. They are of medium hardness when pinched, feel full, elastic, non-tender, non-adhesive, and movable. In some cases, hepatosplenomegaly may be the first symptom, or it may occur simultaneously with lymphadenopathy. Splenomegaly is the most common symptom, and the enlarged spleen or liver can be palpated (or detected by B-ultrasound) under the rib margins on both sides (liver function usually shows no obvious abnormalities). About 10% of patients present with systemic symptoms such as fever (body temperature is mostly between 38-39℃, some patients may have continuous high fever in the middle and late stages, or intermittent low fever, and a few have periodic fever), night sweats (sweating at night or after falling asleep) and weight loss as the first symptoms. So if you have irregular fever for a long time and can't find any reason, you should be alert. X-ray examination can find signs of lymphadenopathy in the middle and anterior mediastinum. Only by understanding the symptoms of lymphoma can we discover the disease earlier and receive treatment as early as possible. The early treatment effect of lymphoma is still very good and there is a possibility of cure. In addition, we should pay attention to diet conditioning and moderate exercise in life to enhance our own resistance. |
