As a secretory gland of human beings, the pancreas provides a guarantee for the normal functioning of human body functions. As we all know, pancreatic cancer is a disease that is difficult to treat, so many pancreatic cancer patients are often depressed and passive in treatment. In order to let everyone know more about pancreatic cancer, we will now tell you what tests you need to do if you have pancreatic cancer. 1. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and magnetic resonance pancreatocholangiopancreatography (MRCP) are not currently the first choice for diagnosing pancreatic cancer. However, when patients are allergic to CT contrast agents, MRI scans can be performed instead of CT for diagnosis and clinical staging. In addition, when some lesions are difficult to characterize, MRI examinations can be performed on the basis of CT examinations to supplement the deficiencies of CT images. MRCP has obvious advantages in determining whether there is bile duct obstruction, the location of obstruction, and the cause of obstruction. It is also safer than invasive examination methods such as endoscopic retrograde pancreatocholangiography and transhepatic puncture cholangiography. 2. CT is currently the best non-invasive imaging method for pancreatic examination, mainly used for the diagnosis and staging of pancreatic cancer. Plain scan can roughly show the size and location of the lesion, but it cannot accurately diagnose the tumor, nor is it conducive to showing the relationship between the tumor and the surrounding structures. Enhanced scan can better show the size, location, shape, internal structure and relationship with the surrounding structures of the pancreatic tumor. CT can more accurately determine whether there is liver metastasis and enlarged lymph nodes. 3. B-ultrasound is also a frequently used test for pancreatic cancer. This test can be used when patients are suspected of pancreatic cancer, such as when they have unexplained abdominal pain, sudden weight loss, and loss of appetite. This method can detect early dilatation of the biliary system and pancreatic duct dilatation. It is possible to detect tumors with a diameter of more than 1CM, and it is more likely to detect tumors with a diameter of 2CM. The three examinations that pancreatic cancer patients need to undergo are mainly the above three. For a disease like pancreatic cancer, patients must not be afraid, but should have confidence, actively and optimistically cooperate with doctors to accept their treatment. Friends and relatives should pay more attention to the psychological problems of patients and provide timely guidance and enlightenment. |
