Causes of prostate cancer in men

Causes of prostate cancer in men

Prostate cancer is one of the diseases unique to men. So what are the causes of prostate cancer in men? There are many causes of prostate cancer. It is said that it has a lot to do with genetics. Genetic factors often make it unavoidable for us, but there are many factors that we can avoid.

At present, the medical community still has no definitive answer to the cause of prostate cancer, which has caused great trouble in the treatment of prostate cancer. Without knowing the cause, doctors cannot propose targeted treatments. However, summarizing clinical cases over the years, medical experts have proposed some factors that lead to prostate cancer, which have been widely recognized. Next, let's take a look at what are the pathogenic factors that cause prostate cancer.

1. Age factor

The older you are, the higher your chance of developing prostate cancer.

2. Genetic factors

People who have blood relatives with prostate cancer have a higher chance of getting prostate cancer than the average person; in other words, about 9 percent of prostate cancer patients have a family history of the disease.

3. Hormonal factors

Most prostate cancer cells have receptors for male hormones on their surface. Without the stimulation of male hormones, prostate cancer cells will shrink and degenerate. It can be said that the more male hormones a person secretes, the more likely he or she is to develop prostate cancer. For this reason, people who have been castrated or have testicular dysplasia will not develop prostate cancer, but I believe no man is willing to pay this price to stay away from prostate cancer.

4. Dietary factors

If you consume a lot of saturated fatty acids in your daily diet, you should be careful. Saturated fatty acids are inducers of prostate cancer.

5. Infection factors

Long-term, chronic bacterial or viral infections can greatly increase the chance of developing prostate cancer.

6. Environmental factors

Cadmium pollution in the environment can also increase the incidence of prostate cancer.

In short, the cause of prostate cancer is not necessarily just one reason. Prostate cancer may be affected by various factors. More and more men in China suffer from prostate cancer, and the reason why the rate has remained high is related to the above factors. Therefore, to prevent prostate cancer, we need to find ways to avoid carcinogenic factors.
