Can high-risk uterine precancerous lesions be completely cured?

The so-called precancerous lesions refer to lesions that are not cancer in themselves and do not necessarily transform into cancer, but based on these lesions, under appropriate conditions, they may transform into cancer. Can high-risk uterine precancerous lesions be completely cured? Let's take a look together.

In the past, the early lesions of cervical cancer were considered to be cervical erosion, polyps, tears, eversion, etc. The symptoms are pain during sexual intercourse. But now it is believed that it should be judged from the pathological histological changes of cervical biopsy tissue. If atypical hyperplasia is found in the squamous epithelium of cervical biopsy, it is called a precancerous lesion. Observing the occurrence and development of cervical cancer tissue, the phenomenon of cervical epithelial cell metaplasia can be seen in physiological variations. In the active metaplastic process, coupled with the stimulation of certain external carcinogens, active immature cells or proliferating squamous epithelial cells can develop in the direction of atypical hyperplasia. At this time, the epithelial cells may be different from normal cells, but it is not enough to be diagnosed as cancer. Although not all atypical hyperplasias will develop into cervical cancer, according to statistics, if not treated.
Anyone with cervical precancerous lesions should be given timely treatment, such as laser, freezing, electrocautery, cone biopsy, etc. However, for those with severe atypical hyperplasia in pathological biopsy, due to the high possibility of cancer, hysterectomy should be considered, and regular follow-up is required after surgery to avoid recurrence or missed diagnosis.
