How to check for early brain cancer

Brain tumors are also called intracranial tumors, which is what ordinary people often call a tumor in the brain. It is also a very scary disease in people's minds. Tumor hospitals generally divide brain tumors into primary and secondary tumors according to their sources. The cause of primary tumors is currently unknown, and they occur from the brain, meninges, pituitary gland, cranial nerves, cerebral blood vessels and embryonic residual tissues. Malignant tumors from other organs and tissues that metastasize to the brain are called secondary intracranial tumors. How to check for early brain cancer?

1. EEG examination EEG examination is very important: it has the value of positioning brain tumors that grow fast in the cerebral hemisphere, and the amplitude of the affected side can be seen to be reduced and the frequency is slowed down. The EEG topography developed after the 1970s can graphically display the location and range of intracranial lesions. It is more sensitive to the diagnosis of brain tumors than conventional EEG. Its main manifestation is abnormal slow wave power in the tumor area and around the tumor area. It is an effective screening method before CT examination.
2. Skull X-rays can help to understand whether there is increased intracranial pressure, local destruction or hyperplasia of the skull, whether the sella turcica is enlarged, the displacement of pineal calcification and pathological calcification in the brain tumor, etc., which are helpful for positioning and qualitative diagnosis. However, the positive rate of X-rays is less than one-third, so brain tumors cannot be ruled out due to negative X-rays.
3. Brain computed tomography (CT)
The most widely used non-destructive brain imaging technology at present. It can distinguish the subtle differences in X-ray absorption of different intracranial tissues, making intracranial soft tissue structures such as ventricles and cisterns, gray matter and white matter clearly visualized with high contrast, and has high application value in diagnosing intracranial tumors.
