Who gets skin cancer

The number of people suffering from skin cancer is gradually increasing, which requires us to have sufficient knowledge about skin cancer. As a skin disease, it should be the easiest for us to detect, so that it can be treated in a timely and effective manner. So who gets skin cancer? Let's take a look below!

People with light skin are more likely to get skin cancer than those with dark skin. For example, the incidence of skin cancer among white people is quite high, while African blacks rarely get skin cancer. People who are exposed to sunlight for a long time are also more likely to get skin cancer than the average person. There are also a few people who get skin cancer due to sunbathing. In addition to the two major factors of skin color and environment, there are also genetic factors. Some genetic patients are particularly prone to skin cancer.
(1) Albinism. This disease lacks pigment in the skin, hair and tissues of the patient, resulting in a white skin and hair appearance. The patient is very sensitive to sunlight. If the patient is exposed to the sun frequently, the skin will easily become thickened and hyperkeratotic, and in severe cases, skin cancer may occur.
(2) Congenital pancytopenia anemia. This is a progressive bone marrow failure disease with a decrease in red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. Patients with this recessive genetic disease are short in stature, often have skin pigmentation and certain bone deformities, are very sensitive to ultraviolet rays in the sun, and are often exposed to ultraviolet rays. They are prone to squamous cell carcinoma, which often occurs at the junction of the skin and mucous membranes, such as the lips, around the anus and the labia.
(3) Xeroderma pigmentosum. This is also a hereditary chronic skin disease. The exposed parts of the patient's skin often have pigmentation, so some light or dark brown spots appear on the face, ears, neck, hands and forearms. Later, these spots gradually expand, the skin shrinks, and after 3 to 4 years, it is easy to turn into skin cancer. Cancer is often multiple, and some patients may even have more than 20 skin cancers and metastases. Because these cancers are highly malignant, they are easy to threaten life.
Skin cancer patients not only have to endure the pain brought by the disease, but also often suffer from people's abnormal looks due to the special location of the disease, so we have to bear more life pressure in life. But no matter what, we still need to persist in treating the disease until we recover.
